We were lucky to catch up with Danielle Rodriguez Cade recently and have shared our conversation below.
Danielle, thanks for taking the time to share your stories with us today So, naming is such a challenge. How did you come up with the name of your brand?
My husband and I are big nerds – we love all things Batman. Catwoman is one of my all-time favorite characters. We are partners in this business, and it just felt natural and fun to name the business after our favorite fictional partnership. We believe that just like Batman and Catwoman play off of each other’s strengths to make an amazing duo, we do the same for each other in business and life. Once that was in place, it was easy to develop the rest of our branding.

As always, we appreciate you sharing your insights and we’ve got a few more questions for you, but before we get to all of that can you take a minute to introduce yourself and give our readers some of your back background and context?
Absolutely! We provide virtual assistance on the executive level to small businesses and nonprofits. We have over 17 years of experience in the administrative field; 7 of which have been at the executive level and virtually. Our focus is filling the administrative void where an organization is too big for the owner/board to handle but too small to hire its own staff. Our packages start at 15 hours a month, so it is a lot easier to fit into a smaller budget. We’re used to being the resource who will take a concept and figure out how to get it done.
Just like Catwoman and Batman (that’s right, bringing it back!) accomplish their goals with determination, skill, intelligence, and fun gadgets; we use those same qualities (and handy tools) to get things done for our clients.
Ultimately… we’re nerds. We’ll nerd out over how to help our clients thrive.

We’d love to hear a story of resilience from your journey.
My background is in board management for non-profit, membership organizations. I work closely with the President and Executive Committee to keep them on task and move their visions forward. The issue is… these are volunteer boards and the President changes every year. So every year, I have to adapt to a new vision, new communication style, new ideas, but still keep things true to the overall goal of the organization (and keep them in compliance with their bylaws). We make it work though! I have been very grateful to have clients who trust me to keep them on course and it always keeps things interesting.

Any stories or insights that might help us understand how you’ve built such a strong reputation?
I credit it to two things: reliability and transparency. My clients know that what they give me to do will get done. If I don’t know how to do it I will tell them so. However, instead of just saying “I don’t know” I follow it up with “but I can find out.” It really leads to a relationship fostered by trust. They don’t care if I don’t know how to do something – they know I am willing and able to learn.
