Alright – so today we’ve got the honor of introducing you to Patricia Morales . We think you’ll enjoy our conversation, we’ve shared it below.
Hi Patricia , thanks for joining us today. The first dollar your business earns is always special and we’d love to hear how your brand made its first dollar of revenue.
My first client will always be a very special Mom and daughter duo. She first reached out via Facebook messenger.
She wrote a very lengthy description of what and why she wanted to celebrate her daughter’s ( Kristen’s) 18th birthday.
I immediately started bawling like a baby. We were in constant communication. We set up a call & she shared details about how she lost her oldest daughter in a tragic car accident just a few months ago. Meanwhile, her youngest daughter who would soon turn 18, was not up to celebrating her birthday . She expressed that she wanted to hire me to plan an intimate picnic. We discussed a budget and she had a head count of 18 teenagers.. I knew in my heart this family was so deserving of this celebration. I adjusted my price accordingly to meet her budget. I also made sure to include a place setting for her Daughter who was now in Heaven. I showed up day of and her family was overwhelmed with emotion and gratitude . I definitely felt the love from this family and Krysten expressed how much she loved her Picnic

Awesome – so before we get into the rest of our questions, can you briefly introduce yourself to our readers.
My name is Patricia and I have always been the party planner in my family. I learned at a very young age that these moments we get to share with our friends and family will create lifetime memories that will forever be engraved in our hearts.
My goal as an event planner is to pour my time and passion into every single detail to ensure the client a magical experience.
I have a great team of vendors that I work closely with .
It has always been a gift that I am blessed to share with others.
Bohoparadise will always strive to have open communication from beginning to end.

How about pivoting – can you share the story of a time you’ve had to pivot?
I have been in the healthcare field for over 30 years now. I love taking care of patients and nursing them back to health. I started my small business in March of 2021. I wanted to celebrate my friends birthday that year. It was during COVID there really weren’t many options for an outing.
It was at that moment I planned my very first beach picnic.
I loaded and set everything up.
I had also won a charcuterie giveaway they month. I quickly jumped into action and from that moment I had doing something that I loved just as much as I loved nursing.
I had a full time nursing job. But I also had to manage my time because I knew at that moment in time that I wanted to start up my small business.
It was just a few months into it and my friends and coworkers where soon booking me for their birthday’s, baby showers and Anniversaries.

Where do you think you get most of your clients from?
The best source of clients for my business has been referrals from previous clients and other frendors/vendors who have now become family. I will always be that small business who will refer other small businesses when I’m unavailable. You have no idea how much of a blessing that is for our small business community, to mention someone eked in a room full of opportunities.
That will in return become an unexpected opportunity/blessing.
