We recently connected with Alisa Evers and have shared our conversation below.
Hi Alisa, thanks for joining us today. We’d love to have you retell us the story behind how you came up with the idea for your business, I think our audience would really enjoy hearing the backstory.
Early 2021 during Covid, I noticed that my boyfriend loved to eat ice cream almost every night. As a life-long health and fitness nut and organic eater since 1995 I was curious as to why he ate the brands that I did. I pointed out to him that all the brands he ate had all sorts of junk in them like gums, fillers and fake sugars. He told me that he honestly only looked at the macros on the label (amount of fat, sugar etc.) and that he wasn’t reading the ingredient list. We looked in the markets, but a super-clean product was nowhere to be found. I then had the idea to start making our own plant based, organic dairy-free frozen dessert / “ice cream” without all the junk. It has taken us a year to perfect, but we’ve now come up with six delicious flavors. So far and people are loving both the taste and the quality of the product.
It’s been a helluva ride so far and I thank everyone that has ordered and remarked how they love the products.
We’re pushing for the company to continue to grow by adding new products, selling via UberEats and DoorDash and offering our products to South Florida restaurants and shops. We hope our organic minded business can, little by little, help to heal both people and the planet, one scrumptious product at a time.

Alisa, before we move on to more of these sorts of questions, can you take some time to bring our readers up to speed on you and what you do?
We created our brand with true health in mind. Bringing health to our customers while also providing products that are eco-friendly and healthy to the planet brings us joy.
We also buy locally produced honey, single sounce organic cacao from Tanzania and Peruvian Maca Root all Fair Trade.
We believe one’s body, conscious and planet should all thrive when making a purchase of any product.
Can you talk to us about manufacturing? How’d you figure it all out? We’d love to hear the story.
We started off with zero experiene manufacturing ice cream. We purchased a small cuisinart ice cream maker in the begging of early 2021 and our first batch was inedible. We would purchase many of our ingredeints from whole foods at the start then began to expand to find manufactures in other states that could offer us a a better quality product, larger quantity which led us to more competitive pricing, When we recieved these products we learned what was going to work for us. We learned that not all packaging and qaulity of product is created equal.
We went down many wrong roads: pea protein, cashews, hemp, etc.. We needed not only to perfect the taste but also the creaminess and the freezability. It took us 70 batches, over a year and four months to perfect our six flavors.

What’s worked well for you in terms of a source for new clients?
We have attended many festivals in South Florida where our ice cream sold well, however, it did not translate to people going to our website and purchasing it online. We then partnered with UberEats and DoorDash. We now receive a steady flow of orders that get delivered straight to the customer.
