We’re excited to introduce you to the always interesting and insightful Erica Hubbard . We hope you’ll enjoy our conversation with Erica below.
Erica , thanks for joining us, excited to have you contributing your stories and insights. What’s been the most meaningful project you’ve worked on?
I have worked on many meaningful projects working in the Television & Film Industry over thirty years of being a professional actress. One of the most meaningful projects I have worked on as a creative is my work as an author. Over the years of being a story-teller and filming projects I wholeheartedly enjoy working on productions in the entertainment industry that have very powerful and meaningful messages. The storylines help a lot of viewers in their personal life because many people have informed me that the subject matter is relatable and has helped their viewpoints while they faced trials and tribulations in their life that they solved. This has prompted me to write a manual about my life and how I navigate through the world keeping an optimistic mindset. The arts have always helped its audience solve some of life’s mysteries in a wonderful way! I am so grateful as an actress, philanthropist and author to talk about my life in hopes it helps to better someone else’s life and encourage everyone.
Erica , love having you share your insights with us. Before we ask you more questions, maybe you can take a moment to introduce yourself to our readers who might have missed our earlier conversations?
People call me “Cassie” , “Kita” , “Trisha” “Mita” and many other of my character names as an TV and Film Actress. My real name is “Erica Hubbard” and I have been a professional actress for over thirty years. In my spare time I enjoy writing books, being a mother of four beautiful children and being a philanthropist of a non-profit (The Erica Hubbard Foundation) that I formed to help mentor at-risk youth and give scholarships away to students going to college. I love the art of story- telling as an actress, being a philanthropist and giving- back to communities as well as being a family oriented individual. Recently, I became an author to encourage others and help fellow mankind navigate through the journey of life discussing in my manual how being a spiritual person has helped me get through my own trials and tribulations I have faced in life with optimism. I wholeheartedly love encouraging, empowering, inspiring and uplifting people as a humanitarian!
Is there mission driving your creative journey?
The goal that drives my creative journey is to lead my life by example and have someone encouraged by looking at my life to never give up on their life and tackle all your problems with as much strength as possible. Being a mother of four I have worked relentlessly to help my family and inspire others along my journey that has had difficulty but the outcome has been phenomenal. If anyone can see my resilience and become uplifted than I have done a my job as a person to empower someone. My goal as a author and actress was to always tell meaningful messages through my work and encourage people through the arts. Being a philanthropist running a 501(c)3 non-profit, mother, actress and author I love to inspire people to keep going, achieve all your dreams and make each of your life’s missions to come true!
For you, what’s the most rewarding aspect of being a creative?
The most rewarding aspect of being a creative is the feedback I hear when someone contacts me and says I have helped them in their life through my work or through my words of encouragement in an interview I have done. I always hope my will-power in life has empowered another individual to have tenacity and be inspired. It brings me great joy to know that I have touched someone’s heart in the world and that I am creating a legacy to be a inspiration to another person. Life is very fulfilling when you can help one another and bring joy to another individuals life.
