Alright – so today we’ve got the honor of introducing you to Justin Dinkel. We think you’ll enjoy our conversation, we’ve shared it below.
Alright, Justin thanks for taking the time to share your stories and insights with us today. How did you get your first job in the field that you practice in today?
I started getting into drugs and alcohol at the age of 12/13 I found a group of people who “accepted” me. Later to find out in life the only person who needs to accept you is you. Anyhow, this life turned into some vanity you become the “cool” person selling drugs, doing drugs. Always thinking its fun and I can stop whenever I want to. The years go by, I watch friends die or get locked up from harder substances and larger sale volume. I always was in it but not in it if that makes sense? A limbo between light and darkness. I got hired into banking and was a top producer. I ended up meeting a lady with kids and we have a few now ourselves. she thought my drinking was just fun and we were having a good time, not knowing how long and how dark it would get. I was a blackout drinker. Id do cocaine, drive and just be an overall asshole. It got to a point where it was “I’m taking the kids and leaving.” Growing up without a dad I wasn’t going to lose my kids for or from alcohol. That’s a whole other story easier to talk about rather than write about. Anyhow I pulled it out and got to work on my recovery I’ve always been a gym enthusiast. as I was taking psychology courses one of them talked about replacing bad habits with good ones or you’ll perpetually go back to the bad habits.. I recovered in the gym and in school. And that is where Switch’N Addiction was born. 5 years later and 100’s if not 1000’s of lives touched and here I ‘am growing and moving forward I ‘am very happy where I’m at and cant wait to keep expanding. there’s so much more to talk about than I can write but that’s the gist.

As always, we appreciate you sharing your insights and we’ve got a few more questions for you, but before we get to all of that can you take a minute to introduce yourself and give our readers some of your back background and context?
For this I got into into after recovering from a lot of different substances and addictions. I learned felt and recovered from all of them. I keep expanding my knowledge in psychology and in the drug and alcohol realm. I’ve done body building, strength training, powerlifting, Olympic lifting and mma. I work with clients on the why and the how’s. We find ways to reignite the life back into others. old hobbies, new hobbies and exercise followed by heathy eating and sleeping habits. it can take a lot of time working with clients but when the light comes back on in peoples souls it makes everything worth it. I’m most proud of every client and the lives they go out and touch afterward.

Training and knowledge matter of course, but beyond that what do you think matters most in terms of succeeding in your field?
People. All the followers, clients, friends and family pushing and strangers messaging or coming up to you and saying you saved my life or you’re going to help so many people its a push to keep going no matter how difficult it has gotten.

Can you open up about how you managed the initial funding?
At the time of setting my business up we were pretty broke i was a stay at home dad with 4 kid in school and recovering. I got online bought things used sold them for more got a few clients and saved and reinvested. I started my business in our garage. have been expanding saving buying selling and trading. ended up in a new house when my wife had her career take off. after some marital problems that came I moved my business into fusboxe MMA where i currently am at which was an amazing moving I have added classes and started to build a community from that.
