Alright, Miles thanks for taking the time to share your stories and insights with us today. Alright, so we’d love to hear about how you got your first client or customer. What’s the story?
The first client that I ever had was my god-sister Jaymi. She was the one who really put the fire in me to bring B. Smoove Auto Detailing to life. I had no intentions on ever starting my own detailing business, however my skills said I should! It was exciting feeling knowing that someone close to me believed me and wanted to support me and encouraged me to become an entrepreneur.
Awesome – so before we get into the rest of our questions, can you briefly introduce yourself to our readers.
I am Miles Brockman a graduate of Western Michigan University where I obtained my Bachelor’s in Business Entrepreneurship/Management. I got into detailing from the encouragement of my god-sister, I enjoyed washing cars but the idea of becoming an entrepreneur always seemed overwhelming.
What do I provide my clients you ask? Simple, I offer them convenience. People love convenience, that is my business model in the most simplest form. Customers knowing that they can get their vehicle detailed wherever they might be is what makes my business attractive.
I am most proud of my ability to persevere through all of the challenges of life. Running an operating a business is not as easy as people might think. The tough days show what you are really made of!
I would like people to know that I am a hard worker, diligent and dedicated. I love what I do! I treat all of my customers vehicles as if they were my own.
Let’s talk about resilience next – do you have a story you can share with us?
Being able to adapt when business is slow has shown my resilience. This summer alone there have been days at a time where I might not have one booking, but its during those times where you continue to learn, improve and develop.
How’d you build such a strong reputation within your market?
Building my reputation within my market I believe came from a lot of word of mouth. Once one person got the B. Smoove experience and they liked it they refer me to someone else. With that being said my attention to detail and the love I have for cars and my customers, is what help build my reputation.
