Indeed, I have been fortunate enough to carve a prosperous existence through my creative endeavors. The journey to this opulent reality was both an arduous odyssey and a blissful sojourn. Allow me to recount the steps that led me to this fortuitous juncture. My journey commenced with a burning passion for artistic expression. I embarked on a path less trodden, armed with unwavering determination and an insatiable thirst for knowledge. It began humbly, but I devoted countless hours to honing my craft, refining my skills, and embracing every opportunity to learn and grow. I ventured into the captivating realm of content writing and digital marketing, seeking to unravel the secrets that would unlock the gates to success.
As I delved deeper, I encountered challenges that tested my resilience, but I persevered with an indomitable spirit. Sure, here’s the story of my journey, illustrating my resilience during pursuing my MBA from IIM Calcutta amidst the pandemic, acing my studies in digital format, studying from the hospital with my ill mother beside me, and the heart-wrenching loss of my mom before I could show her my MBA degree from IIM Calcutta.
In the midst of a challenging pandemic, I found myself at a crossroads. I had always dreamed of pursuing an MBA, and the opportunity to join the prestigious Indian Institute of Management Calcutta (IIMC) presented itself. Despite the uncertainties that lay ahead, I was determined to make the most of this chance.
As the world shifted to digital learning, I too adapted to the new normal. Online lectures, virtual discussions, and remote study groups became my daily routine. I embraced the digital format with enthusiasm, eager to gain knowledge and grow both personally and professionally.
However, amidst my pursuit of education, life threw a harsh curveball. My beloved mother fell seriously ill and was hospitalized due to multiple illnesses. Her health condition was critical, and I couldn’t bear the thought of her suffering alone. Despite the challenges, I remained resilient and found ways to study from the hospital, with my books and laptop by my mother’s side.
In those difficult times, my mother became my pillar of strength. She encouraged me to pursue my dreams and never give up, even amidst her own pain and suffering. Her unwavering support and love motivated me to keep going, even when it seemed almost impossible to balance my studies and family responsibilities.
There were days when I felt overwhelmed and exhausted, but I pushed through, knowing that achieving my MBA from IIMC was not only my dream but also my mother’s dream for me. She would often smile at me, her eyes filled with pride, as I attended virtual lectures while sitting beside her hospital bed.
Despite the challenges and emotional turmoil, I managed to excel in my studies, receiving accolades for my academic performance. My determination to succeed only grew stronger as I saw how much my mother believed in me.
However, fate had another cruel twist in store. During one of my crucial semesters, my mother’s health took a turn for the worse, and despite all efforts, she passed away. It was a devastating loss that left a void in my heart, and I couldn’t help but feel a profound sadness that my mother wouldn’t be there to witness the fulfillment of my dream—to see me hold my MBA degree from IIM Calcutta.
Yet, I knew that I had to be strong, just as my mother had been during her illness. I channeled my grief into my studies and pushed forward, dedicating my accomplishments to her loving memory. It was as if she was still beside me, cheering me on from above.
Finally, after enduring the most challenging moments of my life, I completed my MBA from IIM Calcutta successfully. The sense of achievement was bittersweet, knowing that my mother couldn’t be there physically to share in my joy, but I knew she was watching over me, her love and support guiding me every step of the way.
My journey had taught me that resilience is not just about overcoming external obstacles but also about persevering through personal tragedies. I emerged from the experience stronger, more determined, and with a deep appreciation for the value of education and the unwavering love of family.
My mother’s presence may have been missing physically, but her spirit remained with me, and I knew that she was proud of the person I had become. I continue to carry her memory in my heart, drawing strength from her love as I forge ahead in my professional journey, making her proud with each step I take.
And so, my journey became a poignant tale of resilience, determination, and the unbreakable bond between a mother and her child.
