Sha, thanks for joining us, excited to have you contributing your stories and insights. Looking back, do you think you started your business at the right time? Do you wish you had started sooner or later
Many times I wonder what it would’ve been like if I’d started sooner. I started my business in college. I was actually working my dream job at the time. Before starting my business I knew doing makeup was something I was good at, but eventually I became in love with learning, the transition and the moments. Looking back I wish I had started my business a lot sooner.
Sha, before we move on to more of these sorts of questions, can you take some time to bring our readers up to speed on you and what you do?
I’m Sha, the owner of “Sha Slayage”. I provide makeup and beauty services. I began my journey in 2018, when I decided to enhance my business and specialize in bridal makeup. I help clients with skin concerns of all kind and I make each and everyone of my clients feel great in the skin that they are in. I’m a travel makeup artist, I love traveling to venues for bridal makeup and enjoying the memorable moments.
We’d love to hear the story of how you built up your social media audience?
Find whatever it is you’re good at and find ways to keep it interesting. When I decided I wanted to be an entrepreneur I created social media accounts for my business to build and connect with my audience. I started to connect with other businesses, who gave me opportunities to create promos, ads and test products which also helped with the growth of my business. I became more knowledgeable and faced many challenges, but it was only for the development of my business.
Do you have any insights you can share related to maintaining high team morale?
Sometimes you are the team. As an entrepreneur you will play many roles. The great thing about partaking in many roles, is that you are capable to run a successful business. Don’t get discouraged!
