Alright – so today we’ve got the honor of introducing you to Jae Stew. We think you’ll enjoy our conversation, we’ve shared it below.
Jae, thanks for joining us, excited to have you contributing your stories and insights. Can you talk to us about how you learned to do what you do?
I started when I was 16 just freestyling With Friends. My time I was 18 I knew it was all about writing, the more writing the more progression. By the time I was 25 I knew I had molded my craft to who I was as an individual, as an artist, as a person.

Jae, love having you share your insights with us. Before we ask you more questions, maybe you can take a moment to introduce yourself to our readers who might have missed our earlier conversations?
JAE STEW
Jae Stew was born Joshua L. Steward 07/26/1985 as a native to Denver CO. Jae lived in CO until the age of 3, then moved to California until age 12, then moved to Clovis NM where he grew up with his grandmother until age 17. He recently relocated back to Denver CO where he is currently spreading his passion for music around like wild fire!
Jae has been actively pursuing his dream and passion for music since he was 16 years old. In an interview Jae stated “My music gives people the motivation to be consistent and to be a “GO GETTER.” He performs at a variety of local venues strongly increasing his fan base with his solid raw talent.
“I never put myself out there to be something I’m not. I found myself in music a long time ago and have no desire to be like anyone else.” His music represents everything from day to night street hustle to working Monday thru Friday 9-5.
Using his “gift” and versatility, Jae openly takes on new challenges in his music by just having fun doing it. He is an exquisite story teller always keeping it real with real life experiences and nothing less!
I been in the game since 2000- In 2012 he relocated from that NM state to CO. I can honestly say nothing like being in CO. My music is not my career it is my calling. My music represents the stories in my life- my struggles- the good times- all the emotions that reside within. I have never wanted to make it famous- I make good music for the love of the music. My fans don’t represent who I am but the music I make. 1 luv and keep supporting the music i make, show me love and we can make it some where together!

Is there a particular goal or mission driving your creative journey?
My goal is to stay motivated, have Drive, consistency on everything that I put effort in. I never wanted to be famous I always knew I had Talent since a younger age, my mission is just to continue to put out Bomb music that I’m feeling and I know everybody else will feel. Financially yes it would always be great to have money but that’s not always the bigger picture of the situation so in my heart the music, in general keeps that fire lit.

What’s the most rewarding aspect of being a creative in your experience?
The most rewarding thing to me is now that I have molded my craft I am ready for any situation creativity it’s so easy when you’re having fun. knowing that the artist in me is always down for whatever is put in front of me to dismantle as a MC
