We were lucky to catch up with Steven Quartly recently and have shared our conversation below.
Steven, appreciate you joining us today. So let’s jump to your mission – what’s the backstory behind how you developed the mission that drives your brand?
Mission to inspire the beauty of creation. . To bring to canvas the things I see in life to inspire memories and emotions.
To keep the love of the Arts Alive. Sharing God given talents with others keeping dreams alive.

Great, appreciate you sharing that with us. Before we ask you to share more of your insights, can you take a moment to introduce yourself and how you got to where you are today to our readers.
I started painting at a young age and developed a love for Oils on Canvas. Painting through elementary school and high school in Northern California was the beginning of At our beginning years of marriage we pulled the little money we had into a trip to New York City for the Art Expo. There dreams came to reality with Ceacars Palace Gallery D Sorrento acquiring the entire collection. From there doors opened to relationships with the top fine art galleries in the United States.

Can you tell us about a time you’ve had to pivot?
I think this business of Fine Art is a mix of staying true to what is working and also a bit of pivots where needed. A good portion of this business is listening to the buyer, and to see what is happening around the country with design and art, and being willing to pivot, and do something new, but not take over the whole program with that pivot. In the art business, it can be detrimental with quick change.
After the crash around 2007, we found that the original pricing was hitting a ceiling so we developed originals that were more contemporary and priced a bit more aggressive. This revamped the business and now we have multiple options with “originals” at different price points opening the market to more collectors.
Can you talk to us about how your funded your business?
Funding the business can be tricky at times when 100% of the galleries are consignment. We have worked very hard at understanding what pieces are going to sell
We have never had outside Capital to fund the program. We have always trusted God in bringing the money in and working hard.
