We caught up with the brilliant and insightful Fady Gergis a few weeks ago and have shared our conversation below.
Alright, Fady thanks for taking the time to share your stories and insights with us today. Coming up with the idea is so exciting, but then comes the hard part – executing. Too often the media ignores the execution part and goes from idea to success, skipping over the nitty, gritty details of executing in the early days. We think that’s a disservice both to the entrepreneurs who built something amazing as well as the public who isn’t getting a realistic picture of what it takes to succeed. So, we’d really appreciate if you could open up about your execution story – how did you go from idea to execution?
I started by consulting and building simple websites for clients. The more I did it and listened to my clients, I realized that their main issue wasn’t the front end of the websites, it was mainly the backend. This is where you have several platforms / subscriptions /APIs for services and they don’t talk to one another. It creates insane amount of extra work and cost for business owners.
That’s when the idea came and I started to focus on building custom backends for clients to host everything regarding their business in 1 place. Since its custom, this means it is scalable to grow with the business as it grows and innovates.
Think about your store inventory, warehouse inventory, online sales platform, users info/emails, purchase orders, client portal, product info, custom reports …etc all hosted in 1 place that is so easy to interact with and can request custom features that serves your business best. How much money, time and headache will that save you?
After realizing that pain for so many businesses, myself and the other 2 co-founders of Lumeo.org got together to have an action plan of providing those services/solutions for businesses- from banks, financial institutions, small businesses, medium businesses, real estate businesses, entertainment industry business..etc and we officially launched the second company LUMEO.org in early 2023.
Our goal was to provide long term custom made solutions to those businesses to help them grow and reach their next milestone.

Fady, love having you share your insights with us. Before we ask you more questions, maybe you can take a moment to introduce yourself to our readers who might have missed our earlier conversations?
I have 10+ years of experience in business, managing, and starting multiple businesses, project management skills, business consultation, problem-solving skills, visionary leadership, and ability to identify new opportunities in the rapidly evolving world of technology. I am driven by a passion for work and a desire to create meaningful and valuable strategies and solutions for my clients.
I launched Lumeo earlier this year, which is a custom tech company to service businesses for building websites, mobile apps, custom CRM….etc. I prioritize simplification and problem-solving in all our solutions. My team works closely with our clients to ensure that they understand the technology solutions we provide and that they can use them effectively to achieve their goals.
Examples for the services we provide:
-Website Development
-Custom Backend Development
-Mobile Apps:
-Maintenance & Support
-Integrations and API Development
-Consulting
I have worked with small / medium and large business entities from creating custom platforms to service their needs to business consulting with them to maximize their resources and help them get to their finish line.
I live with my wife, Mary-Cathryn, and two children, Nora and Nathan, in Kansas City, Missouri.

How’d you build such a strong reputation within your market?
Following through is the key. Whenever I gave a client a promise, I have done whatever it takes to deliver on that promise. Everyone who has worked with me knows that they can rely on me and they don’t even have to follow up to get the job done. This gives peace to my clients. Problem-solving and innovation are 2 main values I hold closely to my heart in my work. I always strive to find best and more effective solutions for my clients to sustain their businesses. This is an ongoing process that doesn’t stop.
How do you keep your team’s morale high?
Do not take advantage of your team; just because they agreed to work for you at a certain pay it doesn’t mean that is their value forever. Honor and value your team so they stay with you longterm to avoid a high turnover. Invest in your team, their tools, their learning capacity and community fun events to maintain good relationships and high morale in your company.
