BIma, looking forward to hearing all of your stories today. We’d love to hear about when you first realized that you wanted to pursue a creative path professionally.
Back when I was a kid, my mom bought me the Avenged Sevenfold live at LBC dvd. I was surprised with the atmosphere that happened in that live recording. And that was also the part where I actually wanted to play drums. The drummer called The Rev (James Owen Sullivan), inspired me and motivated me to learn drum and start pursuing my career in music. I felt like it’s gonna be challenging in this time but I still believe in myself that pursuing something that you like will drives me more energy and time to achieve my goals that I want to achieve.
BIma, before we move on to more of these sorts of questions, can you take some time to bring our readers up to speed on you and what you do?
I started getting serious in drumming at the age of 7, I started learning a lot of techniques in drumming from different teachers back when I was still in Indonesia. Basically learning every basic parts in playing drum. As time goes by I started to learn how to do drum solos and different kind of style in music from one of my teacher name Budhy Haryono. And I remember it was on December 2015, one of my teachers, Sandy Pas band, who was the drummers of Pas Band invited me to play with his band. I didn’t have any clue who’s is Pas Band, and from that moment I realized that Pas Band was one of the biggest historical rock band in Indonesia. From that moment where I started performing with them, I started to enter the music Industry. I’ve been performing a lot since then, which then I started to learn new stuff from different members. As time goes by, I join this band called “Siboi”, it was a funny story on how I got invited to play with them, but that’s for another story. Being in a band called Siboi gave me a lot of different challenges at that time. Managing my time well with school and music, staying consistent with how I play and also to improve myself from time to time. And also there times where pressure started coming in at that time. It was not easy in such a young age to deal with it. I also started touring a lot with my band such as radio tour and playing concerts in different place. tons of problems and dramas were happening, but I tried to solve it in a peaceful way, finding the right solution that can satisfy both parties. It definitely made me became more mature. I remember back then one of the drum manufacturer called Ahay invited me to play some concerts with them. And somehow on my birthday they decided to be one of their brand brand ambassador or endorsement. I felt like this was my biggest achievement, And that was the part where I actually believed that I had potential to achieve more potential in music. I started continue and pursue my career in Boston because there was this dream that I wanted to be the biggest rockstar not just in America but internationally. It was a huge struggle for me to adjust with the new surroundings and the culture shock that I had was insane. But I got it solved as time goes by. And now, I’m with the band called HeadFirst which is base in Boston and we’re currently working for the second Album. We hope that this second album will spread the wings and gave us a lot of opportunity to be involve more in the industry.
What do you think is the goal or mission that drives your creative journey?
The main goal is to be a big artist in America because currently I’m in America, specifically in Boston. And I’m currently in the band called HeadFirst and since we were driven with the same goals, We hope that we can be the biggest rockstar in the world.

Any insights you can share with us about how you built up your social media presence?
well as a musician you wanted to be different from other artist. I believe that there are a lot of great musicians that are really good but they didn’t create their own uniqueness and it’s hard to do it even I found it hard to create my own style and everyones are learning so be patience with the process. And stay positive to everyone and spread some love because you will get the same feedback if you give it positively.
