We’re excited to introduce you to the always interesting and insightful Isaiah Gibson. We hope you’ll enjoy our conversation with Isaiah below.
Hi Isaiah, thanks for joining us today. What do you think it takes to be successful?
Hi Eric! Thanks for having me! It takes patience, dedication, surrounding yourself with the right people and of course, hard work. From that same recipe, my production team and I were able to successfully start our sync licensing company. To have our music placed on TV shows, then featured in a Netflix film, all have shown me that the recipe works, in time.
As always, we appreciate you sharing your insights and we’ve got a few more questions for you, but before we get to all of that can you take a minute to introduce yourself and give our readers some of your back background and context?
Well my name is Isaiah Gibson. Born and raised in Detroit, MI. I’m a Photographer/Videographer and I produce music. The same talents spread across my family and I’m grateful to be in that bunch! I’ve been making music for 17 years and photography, almost 3 years. I provide various services. If an artists need music made or properly mixed, I also throw in a in-studio photoshoot. I pride myself on being efficient and that’s what I believe sets me apart from others. I’m most proud of my ability to learn, adapt and maximize every situation. The main things I want people to know about us are, we deliver a fun, creative and a safe experience, with quality being the end result!

How did you put together the initial capital you needed to start your business?
First I started with research. From there came nothing but sacrifices and saving!! I’ve lost relationships, missed out on outings with friends, even lost some friends, because I was working and saving money, to make my dream a reality.

Is there something you think non-creatives will struggle to understand about your journey as a creative? Maybe you can provide some insight – you never know who might benefit from the enlightenment.
Non-creatives will always view creatives as “workaholics”. We work our day job or jobs, then jump right into our craft. They fail to realize that our craft isn’t “work”, it’s our “happy place”. Literally a different world. So to my creatives, don’t be discouraged, they may never understand. Keep thriving, keep creating!
