Alright – so today we’ve got the honor of introducing you to Iana Hair. We think you’ll enjoy our conversation, we’ve shared it below.
Iana, looking forward to hearing all of your stories today. Before we get into specifics, let’s talk about success more generally. What do you think it takes to be successful?
it really comes down to how bad do you really want it. you really have to have a purpose or reason behind what your doing or you’ll give up quickly, of course everyone wants the money who doesn’t but when money isn’t flowing in will you still give 110 percent to the vision or just throw in the towel, most people see others in their winning season and assumed it was a easy quick success story and jump head first into something they know nothing about or care to invest time to really be good in and quit like they say fast success builds ego and slow success builds character so do what you desire truly and trust in your journey. I think that’s me right now and I’m happy to understand that for myself with being a business owner and to keep faith and eyes on my own lane at all times but a lot of people miss the most important key to success is trusting in God through the process because we are only human and having tunnel vision of your own dreams. hahaha i really am talking to myself while talking to you all.
As always, we appreciate you sharing your insights and we’ve got a few more questions for you, but before we get to all of that can you take a minute to introduce yourself and give our readers some of your back background and context?
Hey I’m iana ( eye-yanna ) Most know me by China from social media, and I’m the owner of myperfecthairx, an online store and local hair supplier in Orlando, Florida selling everything Hair, wigs, bundles, tape ins, frontals, closures, lace bands and more, shop @myperfecthairx myperfecthairx.com
well It all started in high school I used to always keep my hair done and switch styles it was just my thing, started getting more invested into Hair, influencers and even became a hairstylist at one point haha but when people would ask me where I got my hair from I downloaded in my head overtime I could make money from this like real bank, I think I always had a hustle and ambition mindset so I’m not even surprised I made it into a official business now.
My business myperfecthairx is literally my baby, I don’t just sell hair I give you a exclusive experience, so when I do things its very intentional and detail from my packaging, content or even engagement with my customers, myperfecthairx is a experience that makes you want to come back, I invested so much time, money and prayers into it and I don’t regret any of it because I know it will payoff and will change my life forever. I’m trying to be a millionaire off of this and I’m going to watch.. watch and see and even help other young entrepreneurs that’s just like me.
I think one of my proudest moments in my business is gifting myself with the help of family and friends a billboard for my birthday to announce my business is launching, ah I think at that moment I was really in amazement of how invested i was to my business, who you know in Orlando investing that hard for their business without knowing the outcome? that’s why I say it all depends how bad you want it, the people see who really in it for the long run haha. I’m building a high end image for my brand so I never wanna miss, you know its a experience… truly.

Any advice for growing your clientele? What’s been most effective for you?
How you promote your brand, staying on top of trends and networking are my top 3. I know if I go to a page and I have to dm to buy something most likely I’m not going to buy, so I’m big on really being put together with my services, content and delivery. Branding is the main effective strategy for me especially with trends and memes everyday if I’m on top of everything, it makes the customers see my brand more especially if its viral but I’m big on originality as well, if it doesn’t accord with my business I don’t hop on the trend, I do what makes sense to the brand. Investing in a graphic designer is important too, it helps my brand be unique in its own way that they know “oh this is myperfecthairx look at the color scheme she always uses it” that’s why my branding is on one accord now. So yes, invest in a graphic designer sis it plays a major role in attracting future clients. I love my graphic designer she gets on her zoom for my brand every time. Last, putting yourself out there for the world to know who and what your selling has helped me a lot, I know for me I’m a natural extrovert I can go up to strangers and have a conversation like we’ve been friends for 10+ years and buzz in my business haha I’ve always been like that and it has helped me and put me in positions to grow just off networking and connections.

We’d love to hear a story of resilience from your journey.
Just how I grew up, I was force to be independent and have a strong backbone for myself growing up on survival. I believe that’s why I’m so independent now because I didn’t have a helping hand it was either you fail and do it over or you do it and get it right, So trials or problems now are never big to me because I went through it all growing up. The worst of the worst isn’t my breaking point because I didn’t have anything at one point and my faith was being build up through all the losses I took but now looking back it molded me to be very solid in troubles and keep my head high because nothing down is for me to see, giving my all in what I want and thriving for more out of life not just for myself but for people who experience the same growing up or still is. I literally have no choice but to resilience.
