We caught up with the brilliant and insightful Nataline R Cruz a few weeks ago and have shared our conversation below.

Hi Nataline R, thanks for joining us today. We’d love to hear the backstory behind a risk you’ve taken – whether big or small, walk us through what it was like and how it ultimately turned out.

I am all about risk taking!! When I was 23 years old, I signed a good faith contract to buy a house — with zero money — well, with a rubber check and a prayer!! I had 2 days to make sure the check didn’t bounce but I knew the house was supposed to be mine. It was and I have always taken risks because my faith was my security. I take risks because I know I walk with the hand of God on all I do.

I closed a successful housekeeping business to put my energy and heart into my very young healing practice. I knew that I had to take the risk and let go of financial security, so that I could put all my energy into what I felt passionately about. The best decision I ever made. The best risk I ever took.

As always, we appreciate you sharing your insights and we’ve got a few more questions for you, but before we get to all of that can you take a minute to introduce yourself and give our readers some of your back background and context?

I am a practitioner of Ancestral Medicine, Sacred Teachings, and many other healing modalities.

I am a Maya Spiritual Guide/Priest.

I am a Shamanic practitioner and a practitioner of curanderismo learning from great teachers from places such as the Maya Nation in Guatemala, the Andean and Mexica traditions, Ancient Teachings from places like India, Egypt.

I am the owner of Strawberry Moon Energetics, Ancestral Healing & Sacred Teachings, LLC. & “Oxlaju Ochoch T’zikin” –House Of The 13 Eagles School Of Maya Cosmology & Cosmic Investigation in Lakewood, CO.

I work with people individually to bring healing to their mental, physical, emotional, and spiritual manifestations.
I work in groups settings, facilitate classes and sacred ceremonies to help community heal, learn, expand, and raise their consciousness, and most importantly — remember who they truly are, what their mission is and how to reach their full potential.

In my work, I use my learned modalities with my abilities as a Clairsentient/ Intuitive and an Empath to sense energies to properly aid and accelerate healing. And with all that, my intention, my mission is “to help guide, to help free and liberate Humanity from the traps, to awaken them to the truth of who they really are and help them to find and fulfill their Soul’s Mission, their Life’s Purpose.”

I am a community advocate hoping to bring awareness to causes most pressing our society today such as health and wellness, nutrition, spirituality in conjunction with healthcare, addiction, and mental illness.

Helping people to heal on all levels, to obtain a sense of peace and well-being, is extremely important to me. However, taking them to higher and expanded states of consciousness and awareness is my wish for all who seek my help. My shamanic work has guided me to focus on getting many past their personal problems and return to the Oneness of All That Is.

With this, I have created a series of classes/processes/workshops, such as Masters Of Ascension, Calling All Warrior Women, Alchemist’s Fortune, the I AM Quantum Healing series, Egyptian Encounters, Wealth Consciousness Intensives, and more.

Over the last 2 and a half years, I received the honor and permission to carry the teachings of the Maya Cosmology, and opened a school, “Oxlaju Ochoch Tz’ikin — The House Of The 13 Eagles” School Of Maya Cosmology and Cosmic Investigation — the first and only school like this in the United States.

During this time, I have been working with, teaching and guiding 26 initiates. They have been working hard on their own personal growth and healings, immersing themselves in the teachings and in ceremony, and recently we traveled to the Maya Nation and held fire ceremony in the sacred center in Tikal.

For over a decade now, I have been a guide to nearly 200 students in Kalpulli, a 4-year apprenticeship and have over 100 women on the Strawberry Moon Warrior Women’s Council… all to help individuals to heal, to grow, to find and fulfill their life’s mission has guides, healers, and Lightworkers.

I have spent the last 30 years now, traveling to many different parts of the World learning from medicine people, spiritual teachers, training in different modalities and receiving initiations in order to do the work I do today.

As an ordained Minister, and through my initiations in different traditions, I am able to perform baptisms, weddings, commitment ceremonies and other such blessings.

I am a Body Worker, certified at the Colorado School Of Healing Arts, in Swedish massage, Deep Tissue Techniques and Fascial Manipulation — mostly focused on Intra-oral care & Maya abdominal work. I am certified in Mental Health, Amino Acid Therapy, and Addiction Recovery Diets by Christina Veselak. I have been certified as a yoga teacher by Core Power Yoga and recognized by Yoga Alliance. I have a Bachelor of Arts in English and a Master of Arts in Creative Writing, both from the University of Colorado, Boulder.

I am a Reiki Master, a Master Teacher in Magnified Healing, and studied at the Oneness University in India initiated by Sri AmmaBhagavan whom I love dearly and am in deep gratitude for the major shifts in my own Awakening.

Over the past 2 years, with the help of my community, I have been working on what I call, “a little experimentation” The Sacred Donut Podcast. We currently have 34 episodes and 23,000 downloads.

Last year, I did a series of presentations and ceremonies in places like Washington D.C., Texas, California and here in Denver for Dia De Los Muertos, for Richard Sandoval Hospitality. Speaking engagements and presentations are my bliss and am so grateful for such opportunities. We, my Maya teacher and guide, Don Miguel Chiquin Yat and three of my dear spiritual sisters with be in Chicago in August, presenting at the Parliament Of The World’s Religions.

Along with that, I have been working in the “spiritual & adventure” retreat business. In 2022, we ran our 1st overseas retreat in Egypt and are in preparation for our November 2024 return!

My team and I are in the planning stages of the next few years — of retreats — big and small, spiritual and adventure, deep healing work, play, play, play — events, intensives and lots of surprises!

Everything I create or put my energy into is intended to help others acclimate and adapt to this rapid shift and help integrate the energies we are receiving from the Universe. “This is a time of great awakening. I am on a mission to help liberate and free you from the Illusion of who you think you are…”

Do you think you’d choose a different profession or specialty if you were starting now?

NO WAY!! I am fully aware of how blessed I am to do what I love, have so much passion for my work and I know it is what I came to do in this life. Now, is it easy no. But to me it is not work. It is my mission.

What do you think helped you build your reputation within your market?

I was raised to believe that your reputation was a reflection of your Elders. The one thing that has always been the most important to me was making sure my Grandparents were proud of me. Were they proud? Yes. Was I perfect? No. When I became a “professional”, I took the same approach. I always say, “I want to be the kind of woman that people feel they can trust me with their kids, their spouse and their money.”

My work is sacred, confidential and extremely delicate. I walk very careful in this area, and I feel that is what built my reputation as someone who can be trusted. Even if someone doesn’t particularly like me, they know they can trust me.
