We were lucky to catch up with Nastasya Rose recently and have shared our conversation below.
Nastasya, appreciate you joining us today. Can you talk to us about serving the underserved.
One of the most beautiful facts about our services in VIVE is how we can help our clients and mentees scale from nothing to where they want to be. I do believe one of the biggest reasons why other experts cannot get this done like we can is because they don’t do the extra work to see a gem when it’s there. Yes, at the end if the day, it is up to the client to do the work. However, if you are not seeing them and being present before the enrollment even begins… then why are we even doing what we do?
It matters for us to be different in our work, and of course as much as our energy can allow, because we are here to serve for a better world. We are here to see everyone succeed not just us. And sometimes, our clients can even surpass us before we reach certain marks. And that’s okay! That means we did the job they hired us for!
Our brand serves the underserved community, especially minorities, because we are here to all thrive together logically and emotionally. We really can. It’s just a matter of having the best aligned mentorship to get that done.
Nastasya, love having you share your insights with us. Before we ask you more questions, maybe you can take a moment to introduce yourself to our readers who might have missed our earlier conversations?
VIVE™ got kicked off because of my mother and my family. No way to sugarcoat it.
I went through a lot of trauma from birth to 14 years old, and I just couldn’t understand why. Finally, once my mother was diagnosed bipolar, it all made sense. We were experiencing these events due to what she was experiencing herself, and energetically, that all travels.
It was right after that diagnosis when a lightbulb hit me and I said to myself, ‘what if a service could exist where we could still live and succeed regardless of our own circumstances? My mom could learn to live with her diagnosis and still be a lawyer and preacher. My Dad could enjoy being a filmmaker instead of having to stress over the worst custody battle ever with my mom. And I could lessen the noise on the suicidal attempts and thoughts that came into my mind because of everything I was witnessing where I could just focus on my music and whatever else I wanted to do for business.
After a few years of diligent research from 14 years old to my early 20s, VIVE™ (Vision to Inspire the best Version of Energy) was created and founded in 2010 where we can help creators, entrepreneurs, and celebrities be able to thrive in their business visions while keeping their energy and mental health first. We mix consulting and clinical work to get this done.
Our services include business consulting and clinical therapeutics so our clients can thrive in everything their meant to do in the world. Our most popular service in our community is our Rock the Breakthrough™ Mentorship, our one year experience to help our mentees inject $100k launches in their vision or scale to $10k+ consistent months while keeping their energy & mental health first. We also have our 1:1 mentorship experience where clients can choose the consulting or clinical route in how we help them ignite their vision. Another popular service is our VIVE™ Lounge Exclusive Community where we help our mentees get into the activation of how they ignite their vision at the most affordable budget. They also get to connect with the majority of our other clients and mentees at VIVE™ in an exclusive setting. We also have more exciting services and announcements coming soon.
If we live in a world where we can ignite our vision while keeping our energy & mental health first, what. beautiful world we could live in. That is why we do what we do.
Any stories or insights that might help us understand how you’ve built such a strong reputation?
The fact that I never gave up and stood consistent until we were worthy enough for the client to invest.
I say this because unfortunately this isn’t focused on enough in the industry with some of the things I’ve witnessed. We’re the perfect definition of what it means to do that.
13 years into running this private practice come September this year, and I feel we are just now coming to surface.
The first decade of business I literally spent to get extremely clear in what we do and how we do it so we can never feel guilty to take anyone’s money, but be proud of what we offer and proud in our marketing of our offers knowing this can literally help save their lives.
I’m not a fan of taking advantage of anyone. I know what it’s like when you sacrifice your very last dollar to put in the work to make a difference in the world (trust – I’ve got stories). So making sure we’re the best possible investment for our clients is everything. This is why our reputation is building so beautifully as it is.
Any advice for managing a team?
You must work well with what you have first before scaling. This is the most unsexy answer almost no one wants to hear.
Before having the long term team I have now, I made so many mistakes for years because I wasn’t clear on exactly why I needed to get done. But when you think about it – how do you ever know unless you start the action?
Also, I was not standing up for exactly what we needed once I did know. I was too chicken to state it and once I did it became mayhem in the conversation. There was absolutely no understanding for the fact that sometimes getting clear in a vision like ours in VIVE™ really does take time.
I needed a team who truly knows how to be patient with the process and trust the process with me simultaneously. I’m so happy to say, after so many years of failure, I have that now.
This did not happen overnight. It’s literally taken the entire 13 years of our journey to get here, End of the day?
– Work on yourself (a lot)
– Get the aligned mentorship to help you succeed with that team and morale (no, seriously. Be intentional.)
– Long to hire, quick to fire. As long as it takes. This is the most painful one. You build relationships with these people. And they’re humans making sacrifices when it comes to matters like feeding their families to work with you. But if they’re not doing the job you hired them for, and if you see there’s absolutely no room for you both to grow together so you all can be the best together? Then you have to let them go. We all have to be a family together to evolve together. And even more importantly, before you hire ANYONE else, I’ so serious on this, you HAVE to get it right with the team you have first. Whatever team members are meant for you will be patient and understand. If they know you well enough, they’ll understand the heavy work you’re doing internally so you can be great for them. That’s another reason why it’s long to hire.
These were such heartbreaking lessons for me. But I’m moving through them with the most grace I possibly can. And in result, we’re continuing to have the high morale we’ve worked so hard to receive.
