We were lucky to catch up with Sandrikas Mays recently and have shared our conversation below.

Sandrikas, thanks for taking the time to share your stories with us today Let’s kick things off with your mission – what is it and what’s the story behind why it’s your mission?

My business consists os helping individuals whom want to get in the medical field to start off by becoming a Nursing Assistant as I offer CNA Prep Courses to assist them with passing their CNA Exam.

I also assist individuals whom want to start a business in the Healthcare Industry with the Application Process to gain Licensure in their state.

Awesome – so before we get into the rest of our questions, can you briefly introduce yourself to our readers.

In the year of 2009 I began to assist with CNA Classes at a facility that I was working as a Cna at due to the Cna shortage.

Students start passing their exam with my help so I saw myself offering assistance on the side and eventually stepped out on Faith with the help of a very good friend of mine Troy Nate whom invested in the business financially them here I go over 10yrs later still in business helping students and clients 1 day at a time to achieve their goals.

My business is set apart from others because I do it with passion at a low cost anyone can afford whether its becoming a CNA, owning a Homecare Business or Mobile Lab Im always available and ready to assist.

We often hear about learning lessons – but just as important is unlearning lessons. Have you ever had to unlearn a lesson?

I had to Unlearn to expect family and friends to support you.

Learning this and stepping out to different audiences with marketing and social media I have gained so many supporters from so many different states that support me whether its word of mouth, Re Sharing Posts, Subscribing to my emails and blogs, and most importantly booking me.

Looking at family and friends for support is limiting your ability to grow and expand.

Can you open up about how you funded your business?

As I was doing classes at my job for free, I was like hey, I can make some extra money out if this and help individuals at the same time so I told my friend of years since grade school Troy Nate my vision and he didn’t hesitate to give me the $15k to get the business up and running.
