Alright – so today we’ve got the honor of introducing you to Alec Gorlano. We think you’ll enjoy our conversation, we’ve shared it below.
Hi Alec , thanks for joining us today. What do you think it takes to be successful?
There is only one way to be successful and that is always being consistent with whatever you are doing in life. Nothing is handed, it can only be earned.
I think to be successful in this day and age, you have to have that go getter mentality, drive. You can’t be a victim or complain to your boss when you are the boss. I watched countless employees trade their time for dollars while I worked at an automotive parts company, playing the victim, begging for pity and living their lives miserably. I decided this wasn’t the life for me.
Great, appreciate you sharing that with us. Before we ask you to share more of your insights, can you take a moment to introduce yourself and how you got to where you are today to our readers.
Hello readers, my name is Alec Gorlano. From a young age, my parents instilled in me the idea of taking care of my belongings especially my car which is an investment in myself. In high school I was a part of ROTC, this created a high level of self discipline at a young age. Giving me the necessary focus that I would later need to start my own business. When I was 17 I got my first car, a Mercury Grand Marquis. I fell in love with cars, I worked at an Automotive company at the age of 19, climbing the corporate ladder, and working my way up, finding myself overwhelmed and under paid. The long days and even longer nights created such a high level of adversity that I couldn’t overcome for someone else. With a deep sense of respect I ended up quitting my job after 3 years, and founded Pure One Mobile, based in my beautiful city, Boca Raton, FL. On a daily basis I provide a white glove service for my clients, showing them that the industry standard compared to how I take care of them, and show them why my services are what is necessary to maintain a car properly. I go above and beyond to safeguard my client’s investments in their vehicles, and pay meticulous attention to every detail that a typical car wash may not take care of. I take pride in ensuring that all of my company’s work is done professionally and to the satisfaction of my customers. Some of my biggest achievements would be some of the relationships I’ve formed, the knowledge I have gained about running a business, and washing stunning vehicles like a Rolls Royce, or a Bentley on a regular basis! Who else gets to do that? My last thought is a piece of advice to any young entrepreneurs out there looking for their next endeavor, I urge you guys to never give up, never quit, or you’ll never win.
Can you open up about how you funded your business?
I took my last check from my job of $300 to make my dream my reality.
Any stories or insights that might help us understand how you’ve built such a strong reputation?
What helped build my reputation within my market is that my word is my word. I know a lot of people say this but when you factor in that I have the discipline of an ROTC member, a brother who served, and another brother who is a yoga instructor, you learn to carry honor and to value it. Without honesty, discipline, and integrity, you have nothing.
