De’Arrial, thanks for taking the time to share your stories with us today How did you come up with the idea for your business?

Hey there! I have recently launched my new online boutique that caters to plus size women! As a plus size woman, I would go in different stores and see such cute outfits but they were never in my size! I used to think in my head “This is so cute! I wish this was in my size!” I used to be so disappointed when i couldn’t find my size especially being someone who loves clothes. For me, clothing isn’t just fabric it makes a statement, brings more confidence, enhances my natural beauty, and describes who I am. If I am feeling bold, empowered, and colorful I can easily wear yellow, red, orange, etc with unique jewelry pieces to bring it ALL TO LIFE! Launch my boutique, Bosses Who Brand Boutique, solves the problem of plus size women such as myself from being able to wear beautiful clothing that compliments our curves and gives us the fashion statement we are looking for! My store does offer unique and different clothing that is NOT normally found in stores and that was my goal when starting this store along with solving the problem. I believe when you buy online its because you can’t find it in the store. Bosses who brand boutique brings uniqueness, confidence, and value to any plus size woman shopping experience!

Awesome – so before we get into the rest of our questions, can you briefly introduce yourself to our readers.

I am a graphic designer, teacher, and now online boutique owner. I started out making custom shirts, tumblers, etc and than i explored into graphic designing as it was spoken into my life and i just had to tap into it to see what it would be life for me. Graphic design has its ups and downs but it has been great overall. I also teach classes to show other women how to design and make passive income online. Now, I am a owner of a online boutique that is done through dropshipping. I am so excited to walk into my dreams and everything God has in stored for me on this journey called life! More so on the personal side, I am located in South Caroline, born and raised. I am in my 20s, married with my first born on the way! I glorify God for it all because he has kept me all this time and help me conquer it all. I thank family, friends, mentors, and everyone who has helped shaped me and thrust me forward to where I am today.

Any stories or insights that might help us understand how you’ve built such a strong reputation?

I definitely will say word of mouth and consistently marketing on social media has helped me build my reputation. Working for those who know me and having them spread positivity about me is very heart warming and exciting. Consistently posting on social media, keeping my work and business at the forefront of the audience minds definitely helped for sure and being quickly to respond to orders. Posting on my pages, reels, stories definitely helped even when you think it doesn’t. People may not engage right than and there but trust me they are watching. I even had moments of reaching out to those i would see love/like my post and introduce myself and it opened up a new relationship with them! If you haven’t done any of these yet, i definitely say try it! Get out your comfort zone and make yourself known.

We often hear about learning lessons – but just as important is unlearning lessons. Have you ever had to unlearn a lesson?

I had to unlearn the thought of being annoying to people when i market my business. I would think i bother them and get on their nerves LOL. Truth be told, people forget, they get busy, and click off of stuff. Consistently engaging with them, marketing, etc is OKAY. If they don’t want to purchase, engage, or subscribe they will let you know! Release the thought of being annoying and market your business! Nobody will go harder for your business than you! They must know who you are and what you do in order to do business with you!
