Alright – so today we’ve got the honor of introducing you to 222 Bree. We think you’ll enjoy our conversation, we’ve shared it below.

Awesome – so before we get into the rest of our questions, can you briefly introduce yourself to our readers.

Hey there, I’m 222bree. I was born and raised in Columbus, Ohio, music has been my thing since I was a kid. Back in pre-K and early elementary, my mom was strict about me only listening to gospel music, but while I was at daycare, I’d sneak to listen to 106& Park every day, soaking up everything mainstream.

As I grew older, I got into playing the violin at school and picked up the piano skills from my grandma. Those instruments opened up a whole new world for me. The sounds, the melodies—they spoke to me. So, I started to experiment and record my own music, finding inspiration in that early 2000s R&B vibe, T-Pain, and auto-tune. This became my safe haven and escape from the world as at this time I didn’t have many friends and would consider myself socially awkward lol- but with music music none of that mattered to me. I found something I am really passionate about.

Now, I am embracing all sides of my creativity. I’m an artist, DJ, and event curator, bringing all of my good vibes to whatever medium I choose to express myself with. Also, I’ve got my own business, where I record music and help other artists grow. Let’s also not forget, I’ve got a passion for creating dope clothing.

At first, I wasn’t sure if having so many outlets would work especially growing up the kinda kid too shy to put myself out there, but I’ve come to realize that very thing is my superpower. Everything I do comes straight from the heart and because of that people feel it.

When you’re supporting 222, you’re supporting and becoming a part of my genuine passion for music, creativity, and love for uplifting and bringing people together. Im here to make you feel seen, entertained, and loved by sharing my good energy.

What do you find most rewarding about being a creative?

The most rewarding aspect about being a creative is the fact that I get to uplift, bring together, and inspire others. From a child I always knew my purpose was to speak and spread love. Once I began embracing my talents, I get to watch in real time the impact I make.

I began creating music and art for myself first. Art is truly how I express myself, but the more I create and walk in my purpose I realize how many others can actually relate and enjoy my art in their own way. It’s also amazing to be to utilize that art to create experiences that uplift, make people feel seen, all while really having genuinely good time. Nothing beats that to me.

Is there mission driving your creative journey?

As cliche as it sounds my main motivations are to spread love through my brand. I can only be me, and as I grow I am constantly evolving. I create whatever I feel guided to do and it is received because it’s made from love and me just showing up as me. I spent many years feeling like I didn’t deserve that kind of joy and music saved me. All I want us to lead by example and motivate everyone else to embrace being themselves however that might look for them & live in love. We are all unique and we are all worthy of a life lived in love.
