We caught up with the brilliant and insightful Louis Buralda a few weeks ago and have shared our conversation below.
Louis, thanks for joining us, excited to have you contributing your stories and insights. One of the toughest parts of scaling a business is maintaining quality as you grow. How have you managed to maintain quality? Any stories or advice?
As the company grows it’s easy to focus on maximizing profit value. During growth I realized it’s not how many clients and consumers you have; it’s the loyal consumers that matter. The goal is to have an audience that continues to return and in order to do that the quality of my work had to be above standard.
As always, we appreciate you sharing your insights and we’ve got a few more questions for you, but before we get to all of that can you take a minute to introduce yourself and give our readers some of your back background and context?
Without my supporters I would have no business. This is what caters to the discipline. To sustain clientele I always take a more personable approach. Really under standing what type of art my consumer acquires is key.
Any advice for growing your clientele? What’s been most effective for you?
Lose the ego.
How do you keep in touch with clients and foster brand loyalty?
I’ll often send small tokens of appreciation such as stickers, and prints to loyal clients.
