Alright – so today we’ve got the honor of introducing you to Erica Hart. We think you’ll enjoy our conversation, we’ve shared it below.
Hi Erica, thanks for joining us today. We’d love to hear the backstory behind a risk you’ve taken – whether big or small, walk us through what it was like and how it ultimately turned out.
Becoming a fulltime entrepreneur
Great, appreciate you sharing that with us. Before we ask you to share more of your insights, can you take a moment to introduce yourself and how you got to where you are today to our readers.
My name is Erica Hart. I was borned and raised in Memphis, Tn. I am a wife, mother and youngest of four children. I graduated from Whitehaven High School in 2003, self published my first book “Bruised But Not Broken” in 2018 my second book “Let’s Connect and stop the Disrespect” in 2020 and my latest book “Unforgiveness Does’nt Live Here Anymore”. I started my cleaning business “Blessed By the Best Cleaning” in 2019 when the pandemic hit, it most definitely was a leap of faith, when starting a business you never really know if its going to be a successful business or whether it wont. Needless to say, I was down for the challenge, it was one I prayed about and got the green light from the Lord. My purpose in life is to be a server, in any capacity. I have written a handful of books to take anyone from a victim to victorious, and now I have the opportunity to help people to live better and have a better mental capacity through keeping their homes organized. A win is a win right ? I love helping people, I love making others feel good, My business has flourished due to me being a hard worker and a faithful tither and giver. I am most proud of the fact that my faith has increased since I have stepped out on faith and have written books and started a business. There will always be doubts and fear, but I have learned that God wont give you a vision then set you up to fail.
What do you think helped you build your reputation within your market?
I would say one thing that helped build my reputation, was the way I carry myself via social media (because that matters) and the way I treat my customers. I have been in business since 2019, I know from experience you can’t and won’t make every customer happy but what I try to do is acommodate my customers the best way I can. I feel when people choose to do business with you they have already done research on you whether its checking you out via social media or simply asking a mutual acquaintance about you, but the way you carry yourself matters. I pride myself on carrying myself in such a professional manner and a way that someone can trust and feel comfortable doing business with.
What’s been the most effective strategy for growing your clientele?
An effective strategy for me is to keep God first I know that may sound cliche , but it really is the blueprint. I mean just think about it, he gave me the business so how could I not keep him first. Another free marketing tool is social media on my business page I have my customers to leave reviews, I ask customers to do a walk through to make sure they are satisfied with their services, because their satisfaction is a huge priority, and from there my clientele increases.
