We caught up with the brilliant and insightful Antalina Fed a few weeks ago and have shared our conversation below.
Hi Antalina, thanks for joining us today. How did you come up with the idea for your business?
I wish when I was 16 Anybe service existed… it would save me so many years of my life and the money of my parents.
When I was 26 I left show business, I’ve made a great career by organizing festivals, concerts, and tours for musicians.
It was paradise from the outside, and the hell inside. I felt lost.
And I had no idea what to do with my life next. There was a whole year of searching for myself, the job that I would really love. I went through so many coaches, tests, retreats, and spiritual sessions. Ok, I’m grateful – I knew myself much better, but I still didn’t know what career path, or what business to choose…
At the same time, I had to buy a new car, and I went to test-drive it. That’s so obvious and simple.
And I was sure that I could test-drive some professions that I was interested in. So, I just started googling it.
I didn’t find anything like this.
I thought that I just can not use Google. That service must be in the world. There are so many people in our society who are looking for a lovely job.
I was so surprised that nobody organizes it, that’s just about connecting people and sharing.
So, I started my boutique agency with a business concept of immersive experience in any new profession. It was only for VIP guys, by individual request, and very expensive.
It was successful!
And now I just launched the platform with such experiences, it is like Airbnb for professions. Each expert can sign up there and allow job shadowing for a day.
We just charge a commission fee.
And it’s so easy to try any industry, walk a mile in someone else’s shoes in real-world settings.

As always, we appreciate you sharing your insights and we’ve got a few more questions for you, but before we get to all of that can you take a minute to introduce yourself and give our readers some of your back background and context?
I’m the founder of the startup Anybe.com. It’s your bridge between “what if” and reality.
We sell one-day real-life experiences being someone else.
I’m so proud of our community of Guides (experts) in LA.
You can try now 60 different professions.
That was my dream to create a system where people are free and have access to multiple lives and professions.

Can you share a story from your journey that illustrates your resilience?
I came to the US just before the pandemic times. I had no money, no connections, no documents. Just a big idea and a small backpack. I started exploring the market, asking people what they think about this idea. I was so curious and excited to launch my startup in California.
But lockdown stopped me. I had to hustle, to move all the time. In my first year in the US, I’ve changed 57 places to stay. I lived in the senior house, a student house, boats, hostels, etc…

Can you tell us about a time you’ve had to pivot?
Originally I had an idea of psychological tourism, I thought that it was so interesting to dive into other people’s mindsets. We had experiences of being homeless people, porn stars, and male escorts. People were curious, but not enough to pay for it. So, we made a pivot to keep the focus on high school students, people who want to change their careers.
Now we invite representatives of prospective professionals.
