Alright, Gissel & Victor thanks for taking the time to share your stories and insights with us today. How do you think about vacations as a business owner? Do you take them and if so, how? If you don’t, why not?

We love to take vacations! We feel like it’s essential in order to reenergize and recenter your mind to go back to working on your business. Before we plan any trips we have a back up agent for any in person showings and we’re available wherever we’re at to negotiate the deal for the client. Our advice for other entrepreneurs who feel they can’t step away from their business is, just take the time, don’t think about it just take a long weekend. Time is always way more valuable than money. You can always make money but the time you spend creating memories and meeting new friends are the most you will cherish.

Great, appreciate you sharing that with us. Before we ask you to share more of your insights, can you take a moment to introduce yourself and how you got to where you are today to our readers.

We are Gissel and Victor Ortega. We are a married couple who Loves Real Estate. We are Realtors and Real Estate Investors in the Central Florida Area. We help clients get out of renting and into the beautiful world of Real Estate where they have so much more freedom and opportunity. We also specialize in helping clients sell their home for top dollar in the most seamless and stressless way. What sets us apart is we take the stress away from our clients and we set the right expectation from the beginning that way it’s a smooth & educated process. The thing we are most proud is the fact we both come from renting for many many years and now we have slowly purchased multiple properties – but not only that but we get the chance to educate and help families do the same. We’d love to hear a story of resilience from your journey.

Gissel got her license in 2017 because she wanted to try Real Estate part time while she worked in the Corporate world. At the end of 2017 she was laid off after 7 yrs working for this company. It was very hard for her since she was a single mom with so many bills at the time. With the odds stacked against her, she decided to give Real Estate her all instead of going back to corporate and it’s been the most amazing journey. It wasn’t easy to go all in and bet on myself but I did and I’m so happy that I did because I haven’t looked back since.

Victor also worked in the company Gissel was laid off in 2017 – he worked there for over 7 years as a Sales Manager but fast forward to 2020 and same thing happened to Victor as Covid hit Florida and forced businesses to close down. This forced Victor to jump head first into Real Estate with my then girlfriend Gissel as my mentor. Ever since we took the leap of faith to do this as a couple we have had the pleasure of helping over 83 families accomplish their Real Estate goals and with over $20 Million Dollars in Volume Sold.

Being that both of us got laid off from our very comfortable salaries, to be thrown into an ocean of uncertainty to then adapt to a new business that may or may not work to me that’s resilience. Having to push and continue moving forward even when times are uncertain.

What’s worked well for you in terms of a source for new clients?

Social Media, Facebook, Instagram, WhatsApp – anywhere I can share a video or post with valuable information that is going to help the viewer understand what is happening in their local market.
