We’re excited to introduce you to the always interesting and insightful Tamya “Byrd” Thompson . We hope you’ll enjoy our conversation with Tamya “Byrd” below.
Tamya “Byrd”, thanks for taking the time to share your stories with us today Did you always know you wanted to pursue a creative or artistic career? When did you first know?
As a child I always wanted to uplift people. As people we go through everyday life experiences, we need someone to explain to us the route to life meaning. Some people don’t know what love is and most think love hurts when it doesn’t. But if you don’t know….this BIG WORLD small world will tear you down and make you feel as you have no one to support you, love you, and listen with real solutions to help you. We all go through depression, rich and poor it lives within us. We did have a map on how to handle life and the people before us didn’t either. So I believe my life experiences can help someone to become the best version of themselves.
Tamya “Byrd”, love having you share your insights with us. Before we ask you more questions, maybe you can take a moment to introduce yourself to our readers who might have missed our earlier conversations?
I am a light of joy and very passionate about what I do? My clients who have worked with me learned more about themselves meaning how to be a better person inside and outside. Some people carry a shield and hide how they feel with expensive things like clothes jewelry and actions. But when they go home or in there alone space they live with depression. I create reels on social media to inspire because WE are the same but different. Living different lives trying to progress in life. Rather it be saving money, or becoming our hearts desires. I help them figure this out ( putting the pieces to the puzzle together) mentally physically emotionally and spiritually. I started this passion by creating music but I wasn’t reaching the crowd like I wanted to, then one day I just open up my social medias and started being the influencer that I was made to be. I am grateful for the opportunity to be able to reach BIG WORLD small world on social media networks. What sets me apart from everyone is that I don’t have degrees in these fields or plaques I keep it 1000 and I dissect the problem to make a wisely guided decision with personal experiences and not text book solutions.
Can you share a story from your journey that illustrates your resilience?
O my here’s a story. I was afraid of how people viewed me as a person because I lost my front teeth. Peoples would comment about why I didn’t get my teeth fixed or it looked like I chewed a box of rocks. This made me mad at first but as I begin to know myself love who I am. I just didn’t care anymore as long as I loved me I didn’t care how people viewed me . So instead of blocking them I just let them talk. It just shows how insecure that person pointing the finger to me is about themselves. Looking at my flaws to as ammunition. We all mirror each other because we all have flaws. I would say I can fix my teeth but I’m showing YOU how to be your authentic self flaws and all.
What’s a lesson you had to unlearn and what’s the backstory?
I had to relearn how to love myself. Growing up we thought loving yourself was eating right, keep yourself clean, and keeping away from dangerous situations. But in reality loving yourself is deeper than that, When you love yourself, you learn that you are first. In life we put people ahead of us and we think that we are helping ourselves but we are hurt ourselves. But if you love yourself would you be in a relationship that doesn’t mean you no good? I mean breaking it down. Why do you choose those type of people to be around you. Because you are use to this behavior. As a child we dealt with this behavior and as adults we pick the same people. But when you love you, you refuse to go back down that route because now know how to spot the red flags and you know you worth as a person and/ or individual.
