We caught up with the brilliant and insightful Chasity Turbeville a few weeks ago and have shared our conversation below.
Chasity, appreciate you joining us today. Let’s talk legacy – what sort of legacy do you hope to build?
I hope to be remembered by my caring heart. My style of work makes impacts every day. I hand craft customers heirloom keepsakes they can pass down to generations. I want to make my mark on this world by pushing myself to greater things. That’s my business goal for this year.
“Carve your name on hearts, not on tombstones. A legacy is etched into the minds of others and the stories they share about you”

Great, appreciate you sharing that with us. Before we ask you to share more of your insights, can you take a moment to introduce yourself and how you got to where you are today to our readers.
My journey into jewelry making started after I took on one of the best roles in life.. Mama.
I’ve always had a creative side but failed to find that “dream job” that fueled my passion. So I created it!
I make Breastmilk Jewelry & Cremation Keepsakes. I learned how to make jewelry for myself, never even imagining It would lead to a business. I wanted to make myself a breastmilk ring to celebrate my breastfeeding journey & to remind myself that I can do hard things.
As a new mom, it’s easy to lose your identity in the never-ending role of motherhood. I wanted to find purpose in this beautiful journey we call life. My new found career gives me just that.
I thank God for the many blessings & the desire he has laid on my heart to do greater things in this life.
My jewelry line can serve many different purposes. It gives grieving mothers a sense of comfort during the most difficult time of her life. It allows mothers to celebrate their hard work & determination on their breastfeeding journey. It’s about taking life’s most precious memories & making them into a beautiful keepsake to cherish for years to come!
Little Foots Jewelry also makes Cremation Jewelry to serve as a token of remembrance of a lost loved one, Breastmilk Jewelry to represent the special bond between mother & baby, and Resin Keepsakes for anyone who just wants something beautiful to wear that can hold any inclusions.
I have made jewelry for mothers using their babies’ formula in place of breastmilk, memorial pieces with funeral flowers & clothing, jewelry made from a beloved family pet gone too soon, & even sand from a couple’s honeymoon I have made into a beautiful keepsake!
My once hobby has blossomed & grew into a successful business. It’s now my career. Every customer & purchase made is fueling my desire & dreams even further. I’m so very thankful.

Any stories or insights that might help us understand how you’ve built such a strong reputation?
I’ve always had a very strong work ethic which has been my blessing & curse. I strive to give my customers the best experience possible. That means working while everyone sleeps, very long hours in the office, no breaks, taking time away from my family, working holidays, late nights, the list goes on..
My first year in business I worked midnight – 4 am every single night, all while having two babies at home. I’ve made many sacrifices for my business & took risks others would never.
That’s how I’ve built my business. Dedication, determination, & a dream.

We often hear about learning lessons – but just as important is unlearning lessons. Have you ever had to unlearn a lesson?
A hard lesson I’ve had to learn is “don’t live to work, work to live.” I often work myself too hard which has lead to burn out. This year I have had to take a step back & reevaluate my business goals. Often that means remembering my purpose & putting my mental health first.
