We recently connected with Adrian Soto and have shared our conversation below.
Adrian, looking forward to hearing all of your stories today. Can you talk to us about a project that’s meant a lot to you?
It’s been a long and winding road. But Parasym is releasing our Debut Single “Triangles” the track has been through so many variations. But the rest of our core for the band consists of Brett Carrion , Juan Avila , and Nick Tover. Just creating music / trying to get our single to where we want it to be has been an adventure. But now the captured beauty of Love & Loss is where we want it. So we hope you enjoy Triangles as much as we did while creating the track.
Release day June 22nd on all platforms.
Awesome – so before we get into the rest of our questions, can you briefly introduce yourself to our readers.
Parasym was started about 2 years ago by I and a few Friends I met. We pride ourselves on our live energy and our creative simplicity when it comes to engaging in song creation. The difficulties we’ve encountered in life have made us stronger as band mates and as people just trying to survive the loop of day to day life.
Our music expresses the deep emotions one feels inside wether it be good thoughts or bad, just a way to let go of the pain in your heart and mold it into something beautiful.
Right now we have some plans that are in process, plus a lot of things outside of music we are preparing for. Plan for more future releases and we are always looking for new places to perform live. The future is uncertain for anything or anyone , so we just take it day by day, grow in areas that we feel need to be boosted up and ultimately just have fun while jamming.

“Nobody’s gonna regret this for you if it you don’t make you happy” – Brett

What can society do to ensure an environment that’s helpful to artists and creatives?
I think the question for society has to come from within. Artists or creatives can offer to anyone especially nowadays with social media. But the offer to attend an event or even listen to someone’s track is up to the viewer.
I’ve been told to find a gimmick or something to draw a bigger crowd. But to me it’s always felt a little cheesy at times because my “gimmick” is the music we’d be performing that night. It’s always been about the music, how can a certain verse or beat impact you, does it make you sad? Does it make you happy? These are the questions that intrigue me when talking to anyone about why we do what we do. Why does the mind create beautiful melodies and rhythms and why do they affect me so??
Plus there’s a lot of kickass artist in the scene we play in so it’s always cool to hear some of the things coming out of another musicians soul.
TAKE A RISK , DO SOMETHING DIFFERENT, THE FADS OF TIME ONLY LAST SO LONG, BUT LOVE WILL LAST FOREVER.

Is there something you think non-creatives will struggle to understand about your journey as a creative?
I was sitting outside the other night after I got home from work. It was about 3am so I decided to chill on the trampoline in my parents backyard. The sky was lit up with stars and the moon she was a beautiful pearl shining so bright that sunglasses could’ve been worn that night. The noise all around me was not much but the insects of the night chirping and creating their own music sounds with the late night peace. Bliss…
The Point of this short passage was to help you sink into my mind
that’s how I see the beauty of artistry. Finding the things in life that inspire you to project how that life experience made you feel. Wether it’s something old something new.
The world around us is in a mixed state of mind and sometimes for me it can be hard to pinpoint one thing to write about especially when dabbling with lyrics, but once you find the flow and the walls and barriers that you put up around you will slowly start to crack at the seams and you’ll be able to find yourself fighting against with your struggles and pain.
Just remember pain doesn’t last forever, it can if you feed it the energy it needs to drag you down. Keep breaking barriers and keep fighting for a better tomorrow.
