Alright, Jonathan thanks for taking the time to share your stories and insights with us today. So let’s jump to your mission – what’s the backstory behind how you developed the mission that drives your brand?
The mission is to be a whole a FAMILY! Not a competition and battle against your friends and family we are in this together. Country dancing is about going out and losing track of time for those 3 minutes on the dance floor not being worried about what other think of you. I want my mission to be that everyone stays on the same page and have the same passion and love that me and my team have cause at the end of the day, ITS JUST DANCING !
Great, appreciate you sharing that with us. Before we ask you to share more of your insights, can you take a moment to introduce yourself and how you got to where you are today to our readers.
My Jonathan Rios and I’m one of the owner of Country and Family. We started about 5 years now. It started out as a group of friends wanting to travel and dance at as many country bars as we can go to. Then it just kinda skyrocketed from there we got 7 city’s 2 states part of our dance family (SATX,DFWTX,HTX,CCTX,EPTX,Tulsa Oklahoma) Crazy to think we just started with 4 couples (8 people) total. We are still continuing to grow and bettering ourselves everyday as dancers and people!
We know have support and sponsors which we thought would never happen but it’s a honor and a blessing we do! The supporters from dance halls like Cowboys Dancehall SaTx, Thirsty Horse Saloon even are buddy’s Y100 Mr BrodyonAir shows love and support we can’t thank them enough But are sponsors definitely show us a lot of love Rough Hand Brand (roughhandbrand.com) and Indios Boots again we definitely can’t thank them enough!
We provide dance lessons for all ages and events from WEDDINGS, COMPANY PARTIES, QUINCES and much more!
Are dance lessons are at ICE ON FIRE 7743 MONTEGO RD every Monday and Tuesday 8pm! We teach all levels beginners-advanced
We are always excited to have these moments and dance with people and teach people new things even help them begin their journey in country dancing cause it’s makes us remember where we started. To see everyone having fun and learning is awesome from the new guys to the vets as long as your smiling you’re having FUN! Are regular students come back and feel comfortable with us cause we make it that way no one is judged or thought of different we make sure your happy and understand what we are teaching and that you learn what we are doing the right way!
Can you tell us the story behind how you met your business partner?
We met in 2016-2017 at Cowboys Dancehall San Antonio we saw each other dancing. They approached me asking where I learn how to dance and wanted to learn. Time goes by and we all are meeting up weekly and learning and teaching each other what we know ! So we joke around for a couple months about starting a dance team and then near the end of 2017 we are dancing at Midnight Rodeo and we finally push the idea of actually making the team. We sit there waiting and wondering what we will name it then boom next thing you know we end up with COUNTRY AND FAMILY! Meeting these individuals was the best thing that’s ever happen
What’s been the best source of new clients for you?
Social media!!! It’s the best way to reach out to all people from all over TIKTOK INSTAGRAM FACEBOOK ! I just hit 75k followers on instagram and 30k on Facebook I never thought I would be were in this position! If you guys want your platforms to grow and keep getting viewed keep staying consistent and dedicated to it!
