Yes, I find immense happiness and fulfillment as a creative individual. The act of expressing myself through art and tapping into my creativity brings me boundless joy. It is a privilege to have a career that enables me to bring my ideas to life, make a positive impact, and even earn income through my artistic pursuits.

However, like any profession, being an artist or creative professional also comes with its challenges. There are moments when I contemplate what it would be like to have a conventional job with a more predictable routine and stable income. The uncertainty and competitiveness of the creative field can sometimes trigger thoughts about whether I would experience greater security in a traditional career.

While regular jobs do offer stability and a consistent income, they may not provide the same level of artistic freedom and fulfillment that being an artist grants me. The ability to explore my passions, experiment with new ideas, and push the boundaries of my creativity while still earning a living is something I deeply value and cherish.

I am Dairu Ren, a fashion designer based in New York City. I graduated from Parsons School of Design and specialize in creating all-gender collections with a strong emphasis on textile design and print design. My designs incorporate intricate crochet techniques, enabling me to craft unique patterns, three-dimensional textures, and exquisite garments.

My passion for fashion stems from a childhood dream and a deep love for self-expression and storytelling through clothing. Translating my creativity into wearable art has always been my ultimate aspiration. With a specific focus on textile and print design, I specialize in crafting collections that are inclusive and cater to individuals of all genders, showcasing my versatility and commitment to diversity.

What sets me apart in the industry is the profound emotional connection present in my designs. I draw inspiration from personal experiences and memories, infusing them with a vibrant cultural tapestry. One of my key objectives is to convey my personal stories and values through my work. Recognizing that each individual possesses unique experiences and backgrounds, I aim to express this distinctiveness through my designs. By infusing my cultural heritage, life experiences, and perspectives into every piece, I imbue them with my personal emotions and reflections.
