in 2017 i started raising money for different organizations with my photography. When COVID hit, i stopped since photography wasn’t really “Essential” Now, i donate services and framed fine art prints to local organizations. We have a close relationship with Julie Shay, who operates an amazing non profit organization called Good Neighbors Group. Last year, Hurricane Ian threatened to tear through where I live. Thankfully, the storm shifted so that we felt little of its effects, but many were not so fortunate. Because hurricanes are a continued threat to all of us dwelling near the coasts, organizations like Team Rubicon are so vital. This organization is a veteran-led humanitarian effort that supports communities with disaster relief. As a veteran myself, I whole-heartedly support their mission. Giving back is very important to me. I have two giving opportunities throughout the year. Every October I donate part of my profits to the Breast Cancer Research Foundation. My grandmother past away from breast cancer and any chance I get to donate to breast cancer research I jump at it. I also have an earring named the “Becca” in remembrance of a family friend who took her own life. $10 from every pair sold goes to her memorial fund to provide scholarships to high school students. I cook and donate vegan meals/desserts to my local community. I have and still provide free meals to my husband job. I have donated meals to the University of SC. I have donated desserts to the local barista, or the local flour milling company, local insurance agency or in the past to my co-workers at Prisma Health Hospital. I donate from the kindness of my heart. I want to spread the word of cruelty-free eating and by cooking and donating it, that’s how I get my word across. Read more>>
