We recently connected with Kalvin Bryant and have shared our conversation below.
Kalvin, thanks for joining us, excited to have you contributing your stories and insights. Did you always know you wanted to pursue a creative or artistic career? When did you first know?
It all began in college, when I was consistently watching America’s Next Top Model and saw that Tyra Banks included males on cycle 20. At the same time, there was a modeling team active at my university so I took my chance to audition. My process wasn’t easy first starting out, but what propelled me was when I joined my first modeling entertainment troupe in the Competitive Modeling Federation. Urban Couture Models was our name and being superstars was our deal. I took that training and knowledge from my model parents and applied it to other runway and modeling projects.

Kalvin, before we move on to more of these sorts of questions, can you take some time to bring our readers up to speed on you and what you do?
For those who are not aware of me, I go by Monsieur Echelon aka Mister Echelon because I’m a gentleman of Christ and I’m a determined wealthy mindset individual. I once did a show which got me recognized via the YouTube web-reality world and became someone to people across the globe… literally from all sorts of countries and cities. I use my platform for modeling, although I am still growing as I go. 2023 was a whole reset for me spiritually and emotionally as I got to gain a closer relationship with God, my family and my wonderful boyfriend, Jordan.

Alright – so here’s a fun one. What do you think about NFTs?
I found out about NFTs in 2021 when my favorite influencer, Cordell Broadus, began selling and posting content about these things. I did my research, watched videos, and even made some purchases of my own. I haven’t been active all 2023 within the NFT community because I feel like something has been a little off with the new programs coming out. Maybe I’ll tap back into them at a later date because o want to invest more into the five I have.

How did you build your audience on social media?
Building my platform wasn’t easy at first. It’s still a little tough at this day. However, being on a reality show with over 2 million viewers can really have impact based on the character you portray. I stayed true to myself, which had its major positives and slight negatives with the annoying critics. Regardless of the fact, since I opened up about myself to the world and I defended myself when necessary I was able to gain supporters, lovers, haters, press, interviews, and followers. What is important to me is my own personal peace of mind and my craft… which is modeling, fashion, and filmmaking.
