We’re excited to introduce you to the always interesting and insightful Filippo . We hope you’ll enjoy our conversation with Filippo below.
Filippo , thanks for taking the time to share your stories with us today Was there an experience or lesson you learned at a previous job that’s benefited your career afterwards?
In the work, apart from a few people, trust very little, because all people are always ready to praise you, spur you on and encourage you until they no longer need you, and the most incredible thing is not in ordinary people who, in any case, may be through envy or for competition, they are always ready to give you a push down, but of those who disguise themselves as helpers, motivators and then destroy you, this is my personal thought also due to my experiences.
Filippo , love having you share your insights with us. Before we ask you more questions, maybe you can take a moment to introduce yourself to our readers who might have missed our earlier conversations?
My name is Illario Luigi Filippo and I am a graphic designer, Jr Art Director and artist. I come from a city in Piedmont, in Northern Italy, more precisely Valencia.
I’ve always been attracted to the arts in general, I’ve always liked drawing and looking back on my journey, I think it’s been a slow upgrade to move from the physical and classical arts to the digital and contemporary ones, which are my work today.
I studied at Naba in Milan, a city where I have been living and working for 6 years now, a city that gives you so much is full of culture, history, events, connections, stories, a city that never leaves you alone.
I’ve always been a creative type, but not by the literary meaning of the term, but in the sense that it has always fascinated me more to create a certain type of passion rather than playing like ordinary children, for example, and going forward I always found it in the various age ranges of my life.
Can you share your view on NFTs? (Note: this is for education/entertainment purposes only, readers should not construe this as advice)
I think that Nfts are very interesting innovations, and also a method for making one’s art travel and known all over the world, but in the same way I believe that art, understood in all its facets, must always be understood as physical material , also because I believe that having a painting rather than 60 LEDs where you project an image is much more satisfying and gratifying for both the artist and the collector.
Learning and unlearning are both critical parts of growth – can you share a story of a time when you had to unlearn a lesson?
