Alright – so today we’ve got the honor of introducing you to Diamond Capreé. We think you’ll enjoy our conversation, we’ve shared it below.

Diamond, looking forward to hearing all of your stories today. Do you think folks should manage their own social media or hire a professional? What do you do?

I manage all my social medias. I am an independent artist who has full control of my art. I believe as an artist, you are your business so it’s important that you share an authentic thinking about you and who better knows you than you.

Awesome – so before we get into the rest of our questions, can you briefly introduce yourself to our readers.

My main focus while being singer songwriter is giving great content. I love storytelling, and I put most of my effort into that. I have really been mastering the Art of songwriting, and I pray that I get to write for others in the future. I’m super proud of my growth as an artist I’ve been doing performances at venues & live interviews. What I’m selling is myself a dream, hope and inspiration to all little girls who want to become Singer songwriters.

Can you share a story from your journey that illustrates your resilience?

I believe that my whole journey of becoming a recording artist is resilience. This is not an easy feat to achieve. So for me to be doing it consistently and believing in myself, and actually putting in the work with sleepless nights that’s resilient. Being that I don’t have support and it’s just me and I am my team. That’s a belief. So I will say my whole path of becoming who I am, and who I’ve always known to be is an obstacle that I battle with every day.

Learning and unlearning are both critical parts of growth – can you share a story of a time when you had to unlearn a lesson?

A lesson that I had to earn learn is everyone doesn’t have to support you. Yes, because you like your music that doesn’t mean everyone has to. Music is subjective not everyone will agree with you. I believe that you have to want it for yourself first before you can get another step but into it. I think when it’s all said and done, you just have to make sure YOU like YOU. Everyone who feels the same way you do will be on board.
