We caught up with the brilliant and insightful Khristy Morgan a few weeks ago and have shared our conversation below.
Khristy, thanks for joining us, excited to have you contributing your stories and insights. What’s been the best thing you’ve ever seen (or done yourself) to show a customer that you appreciate them?
The best thing that I have done for my customers was me throwing free events for them to build their portfolios .I reach out to photographers and models and I pick a place where we all meet and everyone goes to work building their portfolio with different photographers .I usually do about maybe 5 or more a year .
Awesome – so before we get into the rest of our questions, can you briefly introduce yourself to our readers.
I started a few years back with photography after I was a model for many years I wanted to be on the other side of the camera I always loves taking pictures just as much as being in them .It started with my daughter in 2011 she was a preemie baby so I took all the pictures I could not knowing she would pass away 11 days later .So I always look at the pictures that I’m taking for my customers as memories of loved ones for the future .What sets me apart from the rest is its not all about the money for me it’s about the bond and experience with the customer .I’m most proud of where I came from and where I am now helping people start their own business in Photography.
We’d love to hear the story of how you built up your social media audience?
I built my audience from posting thing I think my audience would like when it comes to photos I pick some to post that are like art sometimes different. To attract people they want to see things that they never seen before or something that is postive and uplifting or sometimes just flat out funny and amusing.
What’s worked well for you in terms of a source for new clients?
The best source would have to be social media marketing that I do for myself and word of mouth from my customers
