We’re excited to introduce you to the always interesting and insightful Dawn Gaden. We hope you’ll enjoy our conversation with Dawn below.
Dawn, appreciate you joining us today. Was there a moment in your career that meaningfully altered your trajectory? If so, we’d love to hear the backstory.
It was a dark rainy day as I ventured off on yet another soul ripping day of work. Terrified because all I wanted to do was escape my life, I had nothing left to give, for me or my kids. I was depleted and exhausted. I took this job because my husband had been laid off work just after our twins were born and purchasing our dream home. with two toddlers to feed and now twins. I did the responsible thing. I prayed on that dark and rainy day, “God, you have to give me something else, this I cannot handle”. I truly believe God helped me wake up from my trance of unworthiness to take action to live my life again. Shortly after that, I began to notice large lumps in my groin area, they came and went. Until finally they were not going anywhere, just kept growing bigger and bigger. After the biopsy that led to two fused lymph nodes being removed, I waited for the call. I was standing on my front porch, phone in hand. It was July 10, 2010. It was a sunny day, as my husband and I stood paralyzed on the porch as the phone rang. The voice says “it’s cancer”. Just like that “it’s cancer”, in a tone you hear from someone ordering off a menu, or reading from a list of items to purchase from the grocery store. Don’t they realize they just said two words that will forever change my life, and my families! Did I realize it? Not really. I hung up the phone, kissed my husband goodbye, said softly “we’ll figure it out”, and headed off to work. On autopilot, moving through my day and life as I was “supposed” to be. Take care of the family, make the money, just do it. That was the inner voice. It was non hodgkin’s lymphoma, follicular lymphoma to be exact, that turned all that around. I woke up, I took charge and began to live consciously in my life. Even though my husband was still out of work, I made the decision to leave my job, take care of my health, and be with my family. After a couple years of self care and healing mentally, physically, spiritually and emotionally, I knew my passion and purpose was to continue to teach others to live their best life. Using the practices I do of meditation, breathwork, and my favorite -intenSati, has given me the life I live now.

As always, we appreciate you sharing your insights and we’ve got a few more questions for you, but before we get to all of that can you take a minute to introduce yourself and give our readers some of your back background and context?
I am a licensed counselor, self image coach, yoga teacher and intenSati leader. I experienced my first panic attack in the front row of my first college course. I knew I was in the right place – my psychology class. I was fascinated about the brain and how we perceive our reality. I discovered meditation, which I call my magic pill that cured my panic attacks. I now teach professionals – successful professional who have all the accolades, checked off all the boxes of the ‘things to have in life’ and they still feel like something’s missing, that sense of unfulfillment. Happiness is what we’re all striving for. I teach my clients how to create it – from the inside out. Using unique practices like intenSati help my clients get unstuck from limiting beliefs and create a powerful positive self image. I help my clients create lasting positive change – a lifestyle of love, joy and fulfillment. My motto is to “create conscious living”, to create the life that you love, no more sleepwalking – it’s time to wake up! I am most proud of my ability to see opportunities instead of obstacles – and help my clients do the same. The practices that I teach become a lifestyle of living a high vibe state, maintaining positive change. With the intenSati practice I also have a program called Energy Alignment and Stress Release. When we let go of the struggle and limitations of our thinking, we live beyond our own expectations!

How’d you build such a strong reputation within your market?
My authenticity to see people’s ability to succeed. People don’t always believe in themselves. I help them see their greatness, believe in their worth, and go for what the truly desire. My clients create and sustain positive habits. They learn to think, feel, and be who they choose. By letting go of their limiting beliefs, old stories and beliefs that were handed down to them, they can clear the path to create their best life.

Have any books or other resources had a big impact on you?
I worked with Bob Proctor for 1 year in his coaching program. Our mindset can either keep us stuck or keep us creating our life. This was one of the best studies I have done. We also touched on the Law of Attraction which is what I consistently teach to my clients – how you feel is what you will create.
