We’re excited to introduce you to the always interesting and insightful Jessie V.. We hope you’ll enjoy our conversation with Jessie below.
Jessie, thanks for taking the time to share your stories with us today We’d love to hear how you think where to draw the line in terms of asking friends and family to support your business – what’s okay and what’s over the line?
I’ve been in business for about 18 years and asking family and friends to see the vision that don’t have and or are not apart of it, I’m say good luck! Family and friends will say they support but when in reality the people who don’t know you become supportive and a fan before the ones that only see you as little Jessie; Little Jessie is what my family call me! I’ve released over 7 albums done over 3000 shows and I’ve only have about may be 1 or 2 family and 3 friends to ever show up! Now don’t get me wrong you may get two that will ride till the wheels fall off. So when it comes to family and friend support I say target outside them and once they see others supporting they’ll jump on the wagon.

As always, we appreciate you sharing your insights and we’ve got a few more questions for you, but before we get to all of that can you take a minute to introduce yourself and give our readers some of your back background and context?

Any insights you can share with us about how you built up your social media presence?
The way I built my audience on social media is I had over 32 shows a year shows as in performances and I seen how everything was turning into electronics as far as video so I videoed every performance that I ever did on the tour of those 38 shows in our events and I posted every time I hit the stage and let everybody see me from Facebook Twitter Instagram YouTube and so on
