We recently connected with Abi Wheeler and have shared our conversation below.
Abi, appreciate you joining us today. Are you happier as a creative? Do you sometimes think about what it would be like to just have a regular job? Can you talk to us about how you think through these emotions?
I am beyond grateful to have had more discipline in the early years to actually live now and lead others to a more exciting life rather than withering away in an overly micromanaged or dusty corporate cubicle!
Abi, love having you share your insights with us. Before we ask you more questions, maybe you can take a moment to introduce yourself to our readers who might have missed our earlier conversations?
10+ years of experience in both clinical and entertainment settings. Networking and diligence allowed opportunity for these—
Hard-work, trainings, certifications, testing and experience aided for my profession.
As a licensed therapist pursuing ongoing education, I am able to aid in prevention, interventions while also assisting in diagnosing / treating mental, emotional or behavioral disorders and associated disorders which interfere with mental health. I’m also a remote ABA therapist.
The greatest reward you can give another struggling human is compassion, empathy and small positive reinforcements often.
While I do not share everything with the online world, I’m glad to have opened up!
What’s the most rewarding aspect of being a creative in your experience?
Inspiring others to live their best life :)
How about pivoting – can you share the story of a time you’ve had to pivot?
I was originally too big and at the same time too small to be a successful model, also wanting to become an MD, eventually specializing; however medical school is very competitive— along with a PH.D, so after seeing how we could monetize off of silly little apple further pushed the idea to “move to a bigger city to try better things”
