Alright – so today we’ve got the honor of introducing you to Jessica Jennings Alex Dobin. We think you’ll enjoy our conversation, we’ve shared it below.
Jessica Jennings, appreciate you joining us today. Let’s jump right into how you came up with the idea?
The initial jumping off point of POP! Fort Worth began as our world was in chaos. While the Covid pandemic struck down many of our local businesses and had others scrambling, we saw this dire, dark time as a need to not only find, but create light. As moms of three kiddos each, we saw a need to spread joy, happiness and color. Birthday parties, graduations, and baby showers were all coming to a screeching halt indoors, but needed a breath of fresh air — literally – in outdoor spaces”. In a time when most answers were “no-you can’t do that or go there”-we thought, “We can do this. We can help people celebrate in a time when celebrations are needed most!”.
When we reached out to friends about giving us a chance to practice with their upcoming parties, this idea literally blew up (no pun intended). We were booked out months in advance before we even really got our feet wet. We were literally learning the craft as we went, and loving every minute of it. We’re still learning every day!

Great, appreciate you sharing that with us. Before we ask you to share more of your insights, can you take a moment to introduce yourself and how you got to where you are today to our readers
We got into the balloon business as a way to spread joy, in a time where joy seemed like a lost emotion. As cliché as that may sound, the smallest POP! of color can add so much light to a dark day. By seeing something whimsical and happy, we always hope to spark joy in the eyes of those who are looking. By creating bespoke balloon garlands for events- both big and small- we hope to accomplish this with every client we work with.
What sets us apart, in our opinion, are the connections with make with clients. We are equally invested in your vision coming to life for your celebration. We love getting to know our clients and helping them bring their ideas to fruition, all with having a really positive, happy attitude. This job can be tiring, especially with most parties being on the weekends when we feel the tug from our families, but we always have smiles on our faces and are truly happy to be a part of your celebration.
What’s a lesson you had to unlearn and what’s the backstory?
A lesson we have had to unlearn is trying to please everyone. There are always going to be critics, especially when this is such a subjective craft, so knowing that our work won’t always be everyone’s cup of tea, is a lesson we’re trying really hard to let sink in.
We’re natural pleasers, and want to make everyone happy all the time, but whether it is a critique of our work, or saying no to certain things, we’re trying to unlearn the desire to try to please everyone, all the time.

What do you think helped you build your reputation within your market?
We think our authentic conversations and relationships with clients has really built our reputation. We genuinely care about the families and businesses we have the honor with working with, and that shows. It shows in our promptness, our efficiency, and our process of making sure the client’s vision comes to life.
