We caught up with the brilliant and insightful Nicole Labonte a few weeks ago and have shared our conversation below.

Nicole, appreciate you joining us today. What do you think it takes to be successful?

I believe that doing what you love and what sets your soul on fire makes you successful!

Awesome – so before we get into the rest of our questions, can you briefly introduce yourself to our readers.

I’m Nicole the chick with the pen here at Wild Slice. One of my goals with my artwork is to create and reflect my inner workings and shine my light✨

I began my adventure into artwork when I was around 28. I started with sketching with pen and paper the moved onto painting on canvas, then did some sculpture pieces with wood and now I’m back to drawing and enjoying and new endeavor into creating with clay/pottery!

I’ve always been inspired by the natural world and it felt right to have that be the focus of my work.

I find inspiration pretty much whenever I am outside! It might be while I’m taking a walk on our little country road or a stroll in the woods or even just sitting by a campfire. Nature inspires me and reminds me of our connection to all things.

What’s been the most effective strategy for growing your clientele?

Beings authentic and staying in tune with my hearts guiding urges. I believe that you attract what you share.

Any insights you can share with us about how you built up your social media presence?

I started off on Instagram by making a post at least every day. Slow and steady they say wins the race. Eventually it began to really grow and flourish! I also have spent a lot of time collaborating with other artists who share their work on social media as well. This grew my friendships, connections and reach substantially! Team work makes the dream work!
