We caught up with the brilliant and insightful Chrishanda Cole a few weeks ago and have shared our conversation below.
Hi Chrishanda , thanks for joining us today. What do you think matters most in terms of achieving success?
I believe one of the key factors in being successful in anything you do is Consistency & Patience. Once I decide to do something and my mind is made up, I set the plan in motion. I stay Consistent and dedicate 100% of myself into whatever I’m working on, especially my business. I’ve noticed when I slack , or don’t stay Consistent things don’t run smoothly & my business suffers.
Patience is also a must. A lot of people live in the microwave era and want things fast. Slow down, take your time and things will fall in place.

Awesome – so before we get into the rest of our questions, can you briefly introduce yourself to our readers.
I am the owner of Humble Bangles. We are an online store that specializes in handmade bracelets. Here at Humble Bangles each piece is handmade and designed with love and care. Humble Bangles are designed to encourage, inspire and uplift. Humble Bangles was founded in 2022 by Chris, when life humbled me and made me view things differently. We specialize in bringing you style, fashion, and self-empowerment. We advocate self-love and positivity. My goal is to provide you with afforadable, stylish jewelry that brings you happiness and confidence. So dress your wrist up with a Humble Bangle and let’s spread some confidence.

We’d love to hear your thoughts about selling platforms like Amazon/Etsy vs selling on your own site.
I use two different ways of selling. I have a Website were I list all of my inventory. This Website also helps to keep me organized, and it allows my bracelets to be seen by many. The key when you list your products on your website is to use keywords. Keywords can be picked up when someone is searching for a particular item. I also sell on a platform called WhatNot. This is a live selling app, were I can show my products and people can bid on them. Live selling gives me the opportunity to move inventory quickly. The only downside to live selling is that because it’s a bid the price is cheaper than what it would be on the website.

How did you build your audience on social media?
Social media can be tricky and the algorithm is always changing. The one thing that I can tell you is to stay consistent with creating content for social media. Even when you think people are not noticing you, they really are. Be yourself, don’t wreck your brain thinking about content. Have fun and let it come naturally.
