We were lucky to catch up with Shawn Jones recently and have shared our conversation below.
Alright, Shawn thanks for taking the time to share your stories and insights with us today. Before we get into specifics, let’s talk about success more generally. What do you think it takes to be successful?
To be successful in business first comes from creating your own opportunities. For me personally I learned to understand this when I became comfortable with accepting the risk that it takes to start a business. You have to be willing to take risks to invest in the startups of your business no matter the cost. Most people are scared to take risks or bet on themselves. Money is just a tool an when you utilize it by spending it simply on things such as filing your business or buying products. You now are accepting the risks no matter the outcome. You have to spend to start and then continue to spend is what drives success in business.
Great, appreciate you sharing that with us. Before we ask you to share more of your insights, can you take a moment to introduce yourself and how you got to where you are today to our readers.
I’m the owner of Dai One Cellars wine & spirits company. Dai One Cellars crafts a variety of premier wines including red blends, white wines, rose wines, and sparkling wines. Our high-quality 100% agave tequila is produced in Jalisco, Mexico. I entered into the beverage industry first offering my own bottled water brand as the new division before growing my portfolio to wine and spirits ventures. When I first got into this competitive beverage market my company was distributing are own water to stores across Michigan. Which lead to establishing Speed Beverage Co. distributing company that houses Dai One Cellars alcohol products. This is what separates me from others in this industry I believe. Im most proud of my ability to get my products into retail stores under my own umbrella. An continue to focus on strong partnerships with retailers and customers for continued growth and success.
We’d love to hear the story of how you built up your social media audience?
The era of social media gives us all the opportunity to have fun while building are company brands. I built my social media presence thru content reels, images & marketing. People like to see your journey the story behind what you do it keeps people engaged. So I’m always when I get time marketing myself among my retail products interacting with my stores and consumers.
Can you tell us about what’s worked well for you in terms of growing your clientele?
Growing clientele takes its time but the most effective strategy to this method is always putting yourself and products out there for people to see. Always marketing an letting it be known to the community that you have this product. Your the person behind it the creator or the owner. The more I used this strategy the more clientele continued to grow.
