Preston, thanks for taking the time to share your stories with us today Let’s kick things off with your mission – what is it and what’s the story behind why it’s your mission?
The mission has always been focused around Love. I really wanted to use talents to spotlight situations that I am personally passionate about. Being able to work locally with kids and donate time has truly been a blessing. It’s very important that we pass the torch to the next generation and that’s been a reality for me.
As always, we appreciate you sharing your insights and we’ve got a few more questions for you, but before we get to all of that can you take a minute to introduce yourself and give our readers some of your back background and context?
I got into the industry simply by trying and never giving up. Nothing happens overnight, plenty of late nights and discipline to learn the tools I have currently, but it doesn’t stop there I’ve remained a humble student to the game and continue the same practices I adopted early in. Being self employed nothing is guaranteed, so you have to dedicate yourself to the craft. It’s been great to gain the trust of clients and paint the canvas in ways that create memories for a lifetime. I truly think operating with passion and purpose is the fuel behind the success, you can’t go wrong if that is always the focus. I’m extremely proud to be able to work on what I am passionate about, whether it be at school site, a wedding, corporate event, everything has alighted with personal values and I can’t ask for more then that.
What do you think helped you build your reputation within your market?
In this space your reputation will market you more than your talents will. Building strong relationships is essential but it needs to be genuine in my opinion. Every level is going to demand new versions/dedication of yourself, you have to commit to it in every aspect. Clients that I work with know I’m coming in with passion and will go the extra mile without question.
Any advice for growing your clientele? What’s been most effective for you?
The most effective aspect of growing has been consistency. Delivering quality and ensuring effective communication throughout the process has been key.
