Alexander, thanks for taking the time to share your stories with us today Let’s talk legacy – what sort of legacy do you hope to build?

one can google it . . . but in essence . . . that is my founding quote, founADtion, and principal for my “brand” that translates to : ‘designing for today’s tomorrow’.
As a creative : i AM Alexander AD . . . an artist, designer, chef, writer, photographer, film producer and creative visionary. All those facets are realized under my brand umbrella alexander dot co which also reflects the namesake website alexander.co
My establishing my brand was a natural platform for which to release my creative works be it in the mediums of [ tangible ] items of art, sculpture, jewelry, furniture, home accessories, tools, widgets, cuisine or [ intangible ] yet resonate ie: photography, film, music, interior and exterior design, perfume . . . and beyond.
WE live in such a disposable world … I endeavor to make and create “things” that would be timeless in form and function . . . so in concert with this question … I want my legacy ::: things made and created be it solo or in collaborations to stand the test of time. I would like my legacy to inspire conversations to continue and give energy and touchstone to artists going forward.
Creating alexander dot co as the established voice of Alexander AD was also the opportunity to provide a think tank & incubator for other collaborators to join the journey and combine forces in my initiative.
WE all have a duty
to
inspire and be inspired always in all ways

Awesome – so before we get into the rest of our questions, can you briefly introduce yourself to our readers.
i AM a CREATIVE : artist, designer, chef, writer, film producer ᴬᴻᴰ photographer.
I own my voice … but in essence … I am just a messenger. My daily motto is inspire and be inspired always in all ways. As a creative … I live in a world by my own design whether innately in my imagination and frequency or physically. I embrace every moment of breath … seeking beauty in all its forms … translating my vision into a brand of multiple disciplines and mediums.
I am currently thriving in my 50’s however I feel so empowered … that I am looking forward to the next half-a-century through what feels like the heart and lens of a twenty year old. I am an old soul and have much gratitude to have connected swelligantly to my elders, peers and artisans of time gone by. Through my journey, I have nurtured my constant curiosity into learning, knowledge and experience thus honing it into a skill-set that unites well with other fellow collaborators.
Stay tuned as my creative vision is translated into my current production calendar of several jewelry collaborations, furniture, photography, a gallery collection, a feature film . . . before OSCAR . . . , a limited edition television series, a Broadway musical and some select brand elevations.
Let’s talk about resilience next – do you have a story you can share with us?
My trials and tribulations intertwined with euphoric accomplishments and success stories were certainly remarkable and challenging. But there were defining moments that course corrected my strive for control in a life predestined. Most recently was during our covid era. Projects and assignments were halted. Financial stability was jolted which I feared had no foreseeable solution. Temptation to return to a corporate role tested my fear based core . . . but I had made a commitment to myself a decade past . . . to exist, breathe, eat, drink, live and thrive whole-heartedly as an artist. Adaptation, patience, learning and understanding that I was not alone in this big world . . . was key. WE were all surviving as a community together. This could only be accomplished because WE are resilient and WE are love. I was loved. And so I had faith and believed.
ART is LIFE
i AM grateful for each moment, each day, each month, each year . . . and all that I traversed in my journey thus far.
i AM grateful to be able to live my best life, following my creative passion and being awake to embrace every breath of my past, present and future
i AM grateful for you.
Is there a particular goal or mission driving your creative journey?
Every [ thing ] that I create and hallmark with my ᴬᴰ stamp must be exceptional in design, artistry, material, fabrication and execution
. . . without compromise.
