James, appreciate you joining us today. One of the most important things we can do as business owners is ensure that our customers feel appreciated. What’s something you’ve done or seen a business owner do to help a customer feel valued?
We love to show our clients how much we appreciate them, we are always thinking of new ways to let them know we care. We leave our clients a few little goodies in their cars when we are done with a detail, among business cards we also leave to-go tissues, hand wipes, mints, an Auto Pro Detailing towel to keep in the car and a thank you card. We personalize these thank you items in house ourselves and the towels are handmade by James’ Mom in South Carolina. Our goal is to make sure they know how much we care about them.

Auto Pro Detailing is a full-service detailing company that goes above and beyond for our clients. We offer vehicle pick up and drop off, dealership visits and mobile detailing. Our services include routine maintenance washes, interior shampoo, paint correction, and ceramic coatings. Our company is built on passion-driven results. I have been perfecting this craft over a lifetime and detailing every car as if it were my own. I am most proud of our attention to detail, premium products and client relationships.
What do you think helped you build your reputation within your market?
James has received high end hospitality training over the last 10 years and applied all of those skills to the detailing business. We receive warm referrals from our clients because of our strong detailing knowledge and hospitality skills. Through them, our reputation has grown to be that we provide personalized and thoughtful car care and that we are trustworthy and willing to go above and beyond. Our goal is to be able to help our clients with any car related need with our solution oriented attitude.
We’d love to hear the story of how you turned a side-hustle into a something much bigger.
James has loved detailing his whole life but it was a side hustle for about 3 years while he was working at The Four Seasons. While he was there he was able to network and build up a few clients who wanted his services regularly. It finally got to the point where he could see the potential for a real business opportunity. Through the support from his clients and girlfriend Gianna, he was able to leave his full time job to pursue his dream. Some of the key milestones along the way were starting an LLC, opening a business bank account and filing business taxes! Thankfully we have many trusted advisors to help us along the way.
