We’ve always tried to ask the questions that matter but that are too awkward for people to ask their friends, family and coworkers without seeming dramatic. One of those questions is about mission and purpose – when’s the last time you asked a friend what their mission was? Too often we don’t talk about our own missions and don’t ask those close to us about theirs with the result being that our missions remain secret. Are you just a doctor or are you a doctor who wants to be there for patients in the way you wished your father’s doctor had been? People have incredible and meaningful missions, and we hope our conversations asking folks about their mission can inspire more such conversations in your life.

After removing myself a bit from the fashion industry into now building my name in the barbering industry the idea was to build the same kind of personality that was given to me by professional barbers when I needed help as a kid. In the world of fashion and creating clothing I wasn’t able to see the appreciation from my consumer regarding what I created and within the fashion world a lot of people were not interested in helping upcoming designers in the same field as them. The story behind my mission is to be successful and be great in anything, and everything that I set my mind to. My mission can be very tedious when involving my weekly schedule, but I have a very consistent way of documenting projects both current and upcoming. I want to make sure whatever I create has purpose and meaning, not so much of a price. That’s what makes good art, and good art lasts longer. Chasing a purpose keeps you focused on what you believe in and takes your mind off of things that don’t serve you well as an artist. Read more>>

As someone who grew up with severe anxiety and depression as it runs in my family, school and camp was always very difficult for me. I was always very bullied starting at the age of around 8. Continuously I had unwanted thoughts and feelings and developed severe anxiety and depression. Read more>>

I started a wine company not knowing how to import or distribute wine. I had been a stay-at-home mom for over ten years and wanted to build something for myself rather than go back to corporate America. I was 43, and like most women, I had this inner voice: There’s no way you can do this. You don’t know the first thing about it. You have three kids and no time.” So I decided not to listen to that voice and go for it. I want other women to look at what I’m doing and believe they can also do it. I want them to know they’re never too old to follow their dreams and make them come true. Read more>>
