We were lucky to catch up with Kirissa Weyh recently and have shared our conversation below.
Alright, Kirissa thanks for taking the time to share your stories and insights with us today. We’d love to hear about the best advice you’ve ever given to a client? (Please note this response is for education/entertainment purposes only and shouldn’t be construed as advice for the reader)
Don’t give up and always live by the 80/20 rule in everything you do! The 80/20 rule let’s you eat a “clean” diet 80% of the time and allow yourself to enjoy a few indulgences 20% of the time. We can even adapt the 80/20 rule to our everyday life.
Kirissa, love having you share your insights with us. Before we ask you more questions, maybe you can take a moment to introduce yourself to our readers who might have missed our earlier conversations?
Hi I am Kirissa Weyh the owner and Pilates instructor at Salty AF Pilates. I was born in Texas and moved to Florida in my middle school years and graduated high school in 2000. I graduated from Keiser University with a medical degree shortly after high school. I got married to my husband in 2007 we were high school sweethearts. I later decided after having children I wanted to get out of the nursing field and stay home to raise my boys. So I went back to school at Seminole State and earned a second degree in Early Childhood Education and opened up a preschool in her home. Now that my boys are older I decided to turn my lifetime of dance, health, and fitness hobbies into a career. I loves the the beach and all things tropical. I fell in love with Pilates after I was involved in a car accident that forever changed my daily life. I suffer injuries to my neck and low back but with Pilates I was able to find relief and regain some of my strength back. I look forward to helping others find the same relief and love for Pilates as I have!
Can you tell us about what’s worked well for you in terms of growing your clientele?
The best referral is always word of mouth so invest in making your clients happy not on marketing. You can market on social media if needed for a decent price later. The biggest compliment is a referral from your clients.
What do you think helped you build your reputation within your market?
I believe in integrity and I think being honest and truthful with your clients even if it’s not what they won’t to hear because they will respect you more and keep coming back even if they take a break or try something else they will always come back to what’s true and works.
