We LOVE a good story, especially when it’s a heartwarming one. Below, you’ll hear some amazing stories from incredible business owners, practitioners, and creatives and artists.

I’ve had quite a few in the last few years but one that stands out would be the fact that I helped one of my clients loose around 35 pounds in just a few months because he followed everything I told him and really committed to his lifestyle not only in the gym but outside the gym as well. With the weight loss he also noticed a huge change in the way he moved and felt. A lot of his aches and pains went away. I love being able to help people any way I can and that was a prime example of how rewarding my work can be! Read more>>

One of the best things about being an orthopedic surgeon is that patients will come to me with a specific problem, torn ACL or rotator cuff for example, and I am able to fix their problem and get them back to the things they want to do. It’s very rewarding to see my athletes who have been injured get back onto the field and accomplish their goals. There is no better feeling than when a patient leaves the office on their final post-op visit and they are cleared to return to all activities – it’s almost like a graduation in a way. I also have many heartwarming stories, especially from my hip arthroscopy patients. Read more>>

In the early beginnings of what would become Tapestry Ministries, the YES (Youth Expecting Success) Program was in it’s infancy. The program began as a coming of age or type of “debutante” program for teens in the inner city of Dallas. These youth were typical teens with that were navigating the life they had been handed from living in broken homes, struggling parents, dysfunctional households and all of the other poverty strongholds can have on children and families of color. For three years these teens had been coming to an inner city church plant in the central Dallas area as a place of safety, bible studies, and a sense of belonging. Read more>>

Sound Healing with gongs offers the listener an invitation to go deeply within and gently vibrate what is ready to be surfaced, be it physical or emotional. The initial strike of the gong is followed by what is called resound. The resound is the sound after sound. Similar to echo. Through the sound and resound of the gong, vibrations are created. These vibrations can be heard and felt throughout the body. The top layer of skin, the dermatome, is gently vibrated during sound healing. Just below the dermatome is the access point to the central nervous system. Read more>>

We were able to assist a mom of three with securing car seats. Our client came into the office due to domestic and sexual violence by the father of her kids. She was afraid to take the necessary steps to get him removed from the apartments since he was not on the lease. She was able to find the strength within to challenge him on his abusive behaviors and express her feelings of wanting to be out of the relationship. Out of spite, he took the truck with the car seats. Our client was very upset, as car seats are expensive. We were able to find an organization with Legacy Community Clinic, Safe Riders program to provide the service. Read more>>

I started my career in 2009 when I first joined the Dallas police department as police officer. My tenure as cop was 11 year. As a child I always made things. As a child I wanted to be a Dentist, I won the science fair twice from making an invention I called, “ the toothbrush 2000”when I was in the 3rd and 4th grade. I stareted doing hair at 10 years old, my mother taught me and I made money throughout high school by doing everyone’s hair. From adults to children while in grade school. Adding to that I made hair concoctions, face creams and other things while in grade school and people would sale me out. Read more>>

We are honored to work alongside law enforcement couples to help them navigate their relationships in a negative world. One couple was so wounded from hurting each other over things that neither could change or control. We had the privilege to teach communication skills, with the knowledge and understanding of Hyper-vigilance. This was life changing for them. They went from getting a divorce to a happy thriving couple that loves each other deeply. Watching that change occur was priceless! Read more>>

It’s always crazy for me, to look back on my journey and reflect on who I am now. We have this idea that we are supposed to find ourselves after we graduate college …or after we find what we’re good at. But at 24, 32, and even 42 – I admit that I still felt lost. If it wasn’t for this memory of one of my students, I don’t know what I would be doing with myself now. So about a million years ago – I was a dancer and taught hip hop dance. Dance was everything to me – I lived, breathed and shit dance for much of my young life. Even though it gave me life, it caused death to the relationship with my parents. Read more>>

As a woman’s love coach, there are breakthrough moments and big milestones along the path to partnership, that my clients experience every day. From finding the courage to open their hearts again, to applying new dating skills, and doing things that stretch their comfort zone in the name of becoming truly available for the right relationship, my clients inspire me daily with the ways in which they stay committed to what they really want. One recent heartwarming story in particular, is from my client Rebecca* (name changed for privacy). Before working together Rebecca shared, “I struggled with anxiety, feeling desperate and hopeless, over-analyzing all my interactions with men, and wondering if I would ever be able to overcome what was “wrong” with me to find a man for a loving, committed relationship.” Read more>>

Some of my most beautiful moments in this medicine is working with women deemed “infertile”. I’ll tell a story about just one case where there was a couple who was trying to conceive naturally for 5 years unsuccessfully. I worked with both the husband and wife for 3 months and then they moved further away. I didn’t see them for a while but I found out later they got pregnant that 4th month. I didn’t get any updates from them till about 1 year later. They had actually gotten pregnant right after their last session with me but unfortunately had lost the baby. They were finally able to conceive but couldn’t hold onto a pregnancy. Read more>>
