We’re excited to introduce you to the always interesting and insightful Tina Le. We hope you’ll enjoy our conversation with Tina below.
Hi Tina, thanks for joining us today. We’d love to hear about when you first realized that you wanted to pursue a creative path professionally.
I picked up photography since I was a little girl using point and shoot camera. It was not until high school that I had my first DSLR camera. It was a Nikon D300, weighing almost 2lbs and only has 12mp – even less mega pixel than the iphone 13 pro max camera. But I carried that camera every where I go and captured so many good memories with it.
That’s when I knew I wanted to pursue a creative/ artistic path, but as a hobby only.
As my social media community grew, I realized that by creating content, not only was I able to document my own travel journey, core experiences and self growth but I also helped others do the same. After realizing the power of community, I decided to spend more time and effort into creating content professionally. I now have 2 main content pillars: 1. Photography and posing tips; 2. Beautiful travel destinations and unique experiences
Great, appreciate you sharing that with us. Before we ask you to share more of your insights, can you take a moment to introduce yourself and how you got to where you are today to our readers.
Hi my name is Tina and I am a California based content creator. My content focuses on documenting travel memories and unique experiences.
My main social present is my photography instagram page @alltinaathings where I inspire my community to explore new destinations and experiences while helping them look and feel their best.
My content creating journey started at the beginning of the COVID-19 pandemic where I found a great need to have a creative outlet to help me balance the stress at work as a healthcare provider. Photography has always been my passion but I was struggling with my own image in photos whenever I travel. As I learn different skills in photography and posing, I decided to share my journey and knowledge in hopes that I can find a community and help inspire each other.
With time, my content reached more and more people and I started receiving messages asking for my knowledge and skills to help them take better photos to capture important milestones or just a good time with friends and families. From there, I added another content pillar: travel destination and unique experience. I realized that people take photos most when they travel and when they experience something new, unique or beautiful and they want to capture that memory so that they can share with friends or families or look back and re-live that moment.
Now I am working with brands ranging from hotels to traveling agencies to tourism boards to create more inspiring content for my community as the world is opening up. My upcoming projects are launching a photo-filter to help my audience edit their photo in just one click and a mini travel guide that helps my audience plan their trips with ease.
What do you find most rewarding about being a creative?
The most rewarding aspect of being an artist is the opportunity to make a lasting impact on others. To know that your art has touched someone’s life, elicited emotions, or sparked a change is a truly gratifying experience. I truly hope that my content have touched the souls of my audiences and encouraged them to go out, explore and live life to their best. I also hope that my community can apply what they have learned from my content to help them feel confident and beautiful in every where they travel and in every photos they have taken.
The process of creating art itself can also be immensely fulfilling. It offers a space for experimentation, exploration, and personal and community growth. I was able to met a lot of talented individuals through my content creating journey, some of whom have become my best friends. I was able to connect to a community that shares the same passion and we find inspiration in each other.
How did you build your audience on social media?
I am a traveler at heart but I have always struggled with documenting my travel experience and was always unhappy with how I look in photos. My body language was stiff and awkward and it didn’t reflect a good time.
So I took to social media to solve that problem. My niche was photography, particularly travel photography and posing tips create candid good looking photos that truly capture the moment. By staying close and true to my niche, I was able to find and connect to my audience and that slowly grew into a community of almost 100k people around the world.
If I can give one advice to those just looking to build social media presence, I would say stay consistently true to yourself, focus on your passion and you will find a community that shares the same niche that will help you grow together.
