We recently connected with Krudd The Guru and have shared our conversation below.
Krudd, appreciate you joining us today. Can you talk to us about how you learned to do what you do?
It took me a while to learn the craft but i feel like learning and mastering all you can before anything helps in the long run. I had to teach myself how to engineer and record because i didnt have all the money i needed to actually get a good studio session. recording myself helped me progress alot and helped me get to where i am today. Im still learning to this day honestly. I feel like you learn something every day doing music, whether its new vocal techniques or just learning something when it comes to mixing. ive spent countless days on one subject or just trying to perfect something. i had to learn that nothing will be perfect when it comes to our craft as a artist.

Awesome – so before we get into the rest of our questions, can you briefly introduce yourself to our readers.
Im KruddTheGuru aka Kruddy Krudd. Im a Musical artist that does rap from Baltimore Maryland. i got into music when i got out of high school. started out recording in a friends basement and i grew from there. even though i am a artist myself, i also engineer for other artist. i started a label named “Kult Village”. I think what sets me apart from others is my work ethic and dedication. You don’t always have to be the best, sometimes you just have to outwork people. Im most proud of how far i have gotten with so little. I wouldn’t be where i am if it wasn’t for my team and my supporters, i appreciate them more then anything. i want people to know that no matter what keep going. Its plenty of times i wanted to quit but you just have to keep your head up and keep going.

What do you find most rewarding about being a creative?
being someones favorite artist will always be the most rewarding to me

Is there something you think non-creatives will struggle to understand about your journey as a creative? Maybe you can provide some insight – you never know who might benefit from the enlightenment.
i think people forget that we cant bring back certain moments in time when it comes to making new music. some people want us to make certain songs that was like another songwe made that they really liked, but alot of times its that moment you heard the song that really helped you relate to it. sometimes you just have to take some things as it is and focus on whats coming instead of what happened already.
