We recently connected with Candice J Limitless and have shared our conversation below.

Candice J , thanks for joining us, excited to have you contributing your stories and insights. Let’s kick things off with your mission – what is it and what’s the story behind why it’s your mission?

The story behind my mission, my brand, my business/company is quite simple, actually. Love You & Be Limitless. It became my life’s motto after hitting the lowest point of my life, mentally. In December 2019, I knew something in my life had to change. I was desperate for something more……to be happy, like genuinely happy and proud of the woman I saw in the mirror. At that time in my life, I was not happy with myself, I didn’t love myself and truthfully, I wasn’t sure if I wanted to keep living. I felt stuck, depressed, empty and I didn’t know exactly what to do. I remember praying and just asking God IF he truly was real, then I needed a sign because I needed some help and I needed it asap. Funny thing is……..I remember a song starting to play in my head but it was the sound of the voice that caught my attention. It was my voice singing, it was so soothing and comforting. I took that as my sign to get back into music, which is something I had been putting off, but that night I made a promise to myself and God, to start really treating my life like the gift it is….by living my life limitless, loving myself and doing what I had always wanted to do. I began to do the work on me, the inner work, the spiritual work. As I began doing this, it gave me the confidence I needed to get to the music. I decided I wanted my music to be music with purpose…..empowerment music for women to encourage and inspire them to start loving themselves and living limitless. On my journey, I wrote a book that was basically like therapy for me and started a podcast talking about self-love, unknowingly building the “Love You & Be Limitless” brand. A lot of the women buying my book started telling me how they were struggling with the same thing….feeling stuck, unhappy, wanting to love the woman they saw in the mirror but not knowing how after neglecting her for so long. In that moment, I realized I wasn’t alone in how I used to feel and it occurred to me that it was more women who felt the same. Even though I was committed to my music, I still felt the need to go a step further given that I wasn’t only a singer. Some people don’t know that I am a certified teacher with an Associate, two Bachelor’s degrees and a Master’s degree in the area of Health and Personal Wellness. I took it upon myself to make it my mission to teach women the tools that I had used and still use to this day to show them how to love self first, be confident in who they are and start living life limitless using their gifts/talents, and skillsets. I saw that I could teach them by way of my music, my books, my podcast and developing courses for them. So August 2023 is when my online based “Love You & Be Limitless” Academy will launch. All of that lead to me building a brand that empowers women, encourages them and equips them to truly be that limitless version of themselves.

Great, appreciate you sharing that with us. Before we ask you to share more of your insights, can you take a moment to introduce yourself and how you got to where you are today to our readers.

Absolutely! I am a GA native, mother of 3 amazing kids (Jayden, Jayda, & Jayce) and a military wife. Now that readers know I am a regular person, let’s get to the good stuff. I am your favorite Self-Love teacher, singer/songwriter, self-published author and podcaster. That was whole lot to say! But hey, Limitless is in the name. I teach by way of my music, my podcast, my books and my online based academy “Love You & Be Limitless.” I provide women with the tools to learn how to start loving self 1st so they can be confident in who they are and live a limitless life they are proud of using their gifts/talents and skillsets.

What got me to where I am today was making a promise/commitment to myself to work on me and keep working. I had to learn I am my biggest and most important project. I also leaned into what I found to be unique about myself and what set me apart. I think what sets me apart from other people is that it is me doing this. Sometimes people forget there is power in simply being who you are, it draws people to you. I know that my relatability from my firsthand experiences, my transparency and the way in which I empower and encourage helps me stand out. I also have an edge b/c with me being a teacher, I have various resources/outlets I can use to reach women, especially through my music along with the courses.

Another thing that has helped me get to this point is having a lifelong mission I believe in. It is my “Love You & Be Limitless” brand and it is something I am extremely proud of. My brand doesn’t limit me in the numerous ventures I can explore to still teach other women in different ways as I continue to learn new things myself that I can educate them on. It is built on the changes I had to make in my own life. It is built with lessons that I learned through some good and some very painful, but valuable life experiences. When I think about my brand, it reminds me of how I transformed into Candice J Limitless, a woman who continues to work on bettering herself……..a woman who continues to be limitless. And to know that I have a strong brand such as that, that can help other women transform their lives, but also form a community of limitless women…….that is beyond powerful and something to be extremely proud of!

I want readers to know that it is possible to live your life limitless, but it starts with loving who you are….knowing yourself. If you are in a dark place where you feel stuck, unseen, unloved, powerless, and alone………know that there is more for your life and more to your life. You just have to understand you have the power to change it and it is ok if you need a bit of help figuring out how. That is where I come in. How about pivoting – can you share the story of a time you’ve had to pivot?

I initially started out wanting to ultimately do music. I was very adamant that I was not going to utilize my teaching skills anymore because I wanted people to know me for my singing, my music. After seeing the need for women needing the blue print on how to start loving themselves and being limitless……….I knew the music alone wouldn’t suffice. I also realized I was selling my own self short because I possess the knowledge to help other women who are experiencing what I went through. Yes, it is nice to put on music that makes you feel good in that moment, but I figured would be more helpful for them to have the tools to help transform their own lives. I had to be open minded enough to making the shift from music into teaching…………..and understanding I could still do my music and have purpose for it.

Can you share a story from your journey that illustrates your resilience?

Having to make the shift from doing just music to teaching, that alone showed my resilience. I wanted to give up because it wasn’t working out how I initially thought. I’d like to think me being an active duty Air Force wife and a mother has helped me build my resiliency so that I didn’t quit. I will say there were times where I cried because I felt like I was failing myself. I would have my moment, but I would remind myself of the commitment I made to me. This was a big deal to me because my family kept wanting me to get back into teaching (high school) and part of me felt like IF I shifted back to teaching, then it would mean I was giving up my music. That was far from it, though. I WAS teaching……but it looked different and I WAS still doing music, but that also looked different. I had to embrace it and it all actually worked together.
